So, I’ve always wanted to do this! You know those comic-book series where you take a bunch of side characters from other franchises, and you put them together in one big team up? Like DC’s Teen Titans? That’s what this is!
Well…sort of. We’ve got Miri from the Desa Kincaid trilogy and Kezia from the Justice Keepers Saga along with four new characters, but I’ll admit to you right now that I kind of cheated. You see, I created the character of Kez with this series in mind. When I was wrapping up the Justice Keepers Saga, I already knew that I was going to do a new series of standalone novels in a shared universe. And I wanted a new hero for a new story. But I really didn’t find Kez’s voice until the first chapter of this book. You’ll see what I’m talking about. I don’t want to spoil it.
As always, this is a self-contained story. Anything you need to know will be revealed in these pages; you don’t need to have done any prior reading. But don’t hesitate to check the appendices if you want extra information on Field Binding, telepathy or any of the other concepts introduced here.
