Chapter Thirteen

Chapter Thirteen 

'M-Mum?' I couldn't stop a giant grin running across my face, that turned into a wide, toothy one when I saw my dad appear. 'DADDY!!!'. I pushed passed my mum and ran right over to him, wrapping my arms around him tight, not letting him go.

'Hey Birthday Girl. How are you? Enjoying your new summer life?' I nodded and looked up at him. 'You know, sooner or later you'll have to let go'. I giggled and let go of him, stepping back.

'What are you doing here?' I yelled over the music. My mum and made her way over to us and was now wrapped safely, under my dad's arm. Smiling, I had really missed them. SO much.

'Well....A Mr Chris Summers sent a whole bunch of plane tickets over, So..' Wait!?! Chris did this?. Wow!.

'Wait...A Bunch?' They looked at each other before I heard the shrieking behind me, turning, ALL my friends came running towards me. Screaming random stuff.

'Hey, guys!!!' We all grouped hugged. I had missed every one.

We stayed talking we each other for ages. I felt bad that I was ignoring every one and focusing on my friends and my parents, but We had so much to catch up on. It wasn't just them and the Gang here, there were people I didn't even know, people I knew of, but not personally, and then people Who I DID know, but never in a million years thought would be at my birthday. 

It has been nearly two hours since the party had officially started and every one was on the dance floor. I hadn't seen Ryan and Chris all night, In fact, I hadnt seen Chris since this morning. Dancing with Emily and the others, I noticed Kayla and Amber coming over to us.

'Hey guys, whats up?' They looked pretty down about something but suddenly smiled. Their hiding some thing. 'Whats going on?' They shrugged and started dancing too.

'Oh By the way....if you're looking, He's over there' Amber said, passing me. I looked over to where she was pointing and saw Chris sat, miserably in corner....looking at me. But as soon as I looked at him, he looked away.

'Hey, I'll be right back'. Emily nodded and I walked off the dance floor and over to him. Janet was sitting with him, I didn't even pay her any attention. 'Chris?' He looked up right away.

'Yeah?'

'Can I talk to you please?' He nodded. I looked over at Janet who had seemed to scoot forward in her chair, listening. 'In private'. She opened her mouth to talk, but Chris was already up out of his seat, grabbed my hand and lead me into one of the back rooms, to talk before she could say any thing.

I guess owning a night club means you can go wherever you want. 

'So...whats up?' He leaned against a desk and folded his arms.

'Chris...I'm sorry'.

'For what?' He knew full well what. Sighing I walked slowly over to him.

'For the way, i've been acting. But thanks for everything'. He smiled 'For this..and bringing my family here...and for the bracelet'. His eyes shot down to my wrist and his smile grew.

'You really like it?' I nodded. 'Good, I was hoping you would'. We stood there forever, just smiling at each other.

'I love it!' As I got closer to him, he opened his arms slightly and rested his hands on my hips, holding me at arm's length.

'I'm glad'. Moving past his arms and closer to his body, I put my arms around his neck. He got the message and leaned forward. 'You sure?' I nodded. Smiling, he stood up straight and pulled me even closer. With out even thinking any more, We both kissed. I had missed him...THIS, So much. Minutes passed and it didn't stop. He picked me up and put me on the desk behind him. As I reached for the buttons on his shirt and started to undo them, the door opened.

'Chris, come on!!!'. He sighed and pulled away, not even bothered that Janet had so clearly seen us. I looked over at her, Giving me dirty looks. I smiled and looked back at Chris.

'I'll come find you later baby'. He leaned forward again and quickly kissed me. Before pulling away once more and walking away, Grabbing Janet's arm, he pulled her out of the room and back to the party. I guess there is some thing between me and Chris after all.
