After breakfast the next morning, which was later than normal due to the fact neither he nor Sean had gotten to bed until after three, Ken went down to the operations room. Sean, after asking permission, was taking Pax for a walk.
“Just don’t go too far,” Ken told him, before showing him how to turn off the parameter security, using the keypad by the backdoor. “I don’t feel like mounting a search-and-rescue.”
Sean snorted. “I don’t get lost easily, and Pax will have no problem finding his way back. He knows where his food is.”
