Rowan's POV Even if I wanted to eavesdrop on Red and her father—okay, a part of me wants to, but it’s a true sin to eavesdrop in a holy place—I couldn’t. Like the sky chapel at the Crescent Castle, it has some sort of soundproofing technology or spell designed to protect the prayers of its worshippers. But when she bursts out of the door, tears streaming down her face and red hair streaming wildly out behind her, I wish I did. She takes off, sprinting away from our group so fast, not a single guard is able to catch her. I take off after her about three seconds before I hear William shout the command for us all to do so. I’m the least armored of the group, and I know I’ll be the only one to keep up with her; Red is fast. As soon as she clears our group, she shifts. Now she’s even faster
