“Couldn’t last a few hours without seeing your best friend?” I tease my sister as she and Red hug. Truthfully, of course, I’m thrilled to see her. I figured we’d see the pack in near-full force, but the thought didn’t cross my mind that that force included Corrin. I haven’t exactly had much time to process anything over the past hour.
“I can’t believe you idiots took horses,” Corrin says as she pulls away from Red and hugs me. “It’s all anyone could talk about on the way here. Not that either of you seemed to be paying the mind link any attention.”
She’s not wrong; I pretty much tuned the mind link out when all this went down, as, I think, did Red. Fear starts to sink in when I realize how upset William might be with me for that. Could he be upset enough to replace me?
