Mehak's pov

I started to walk towards the door but stopped abruptly when he suddenly started clapping.

I looked at him like he had grown two extra heads.

"impressive Ms. Avasthi, I only expected this from you. If it was someone else then I am sure she would have been ready in one chance but you're different.

Don't worry I'm not having any ill intentions for you. I have only given you the role because you deserve it. "He said and I looked at him unsure of how to react

" calm down Ms. Avasthi I was testing you only. As you know I hate those girls who give up easily I like fighters like you so yeah.

Now come and sign the contract then we have to start shooting.. "he said with a genuine smile

His eyes are showing the purity of his words. He is correct in his point. Nowadays girls choose the easy way to get work and fame and the fast that comes at the same speed. It's gone as well.

" OK sir. "I said

" Call me Kiaan, you are going to work with me and I don't like my co-workers calling me sir. " sir I mean kiaan said

He is so different from those articles that I read about. This media is really something that always puts extra spice in the news.

They made him something that he isn't.

" So Ms. Avasthi for this film I'm going to offer you 25 lakhs as it's your first time, once you work more your p*****t will increase, so be ready?" He said and my jaw hit the ground

25 lakhs? I mean really?

"Yes sir." I told him and he forwarded the contract towards me

I was about to sign it when he stopped me.

"always read the document you're about to sign. Be careful ms. Avasthi." He said and I cursed myself in my mind

A great way to make a fool of myself in front of him.

"sorry," I said and read the documents. It has the clauses an all. But a clause caught my attention when I saw it written that I will get a house and a car as well.

"sir I mean kiaan you said that I will get 25 lakhs but what about this house and car?" I asked him

"It's a bonus because I'm going to sign you for my next film as well. The hero isn't me but someone else." He said and again my jaw hit the ground

Is he being serious right now?

"don't think much about it. I have offered you what you deserve. I have the eye to know who is a gem and who is stone. And I know what you're." He said and I can't help but blush

Because he said that I'm a gem oh my goodness.

I nodded and finished reading the document and signed it.

" congratulations Ms. Avasthi." He said with a smile

" call me Mehak or I will call you sir

"I said and he nodded

He is so different from what I have thought. I thought he would be like those super arrogant famous actors who consider themselves as the best and others nothing.

" Then Mehak went back to work. I'm a very strict person when it comes to work. I won't be lenient on you at work." He said

"Yes," I said and left his room as I have to get ready

I saw Shruthi on the way and she took me to show my room.

My costume and make up artist both are ready.

It's funny how I used to do make up and now they will do mine and I will work.

I thanked Shruti and changed my dress in a salwar suit.

The makeup artist did her work when the hair stylist came and worked on my hair.

And after half an hour I'm ready and I'm looking really beautiful.

I had read the scene and it's my meeting scene with Kiaan. My intro scenes will be shot later.

It feels so unreal everything is like a dream come true for me.

I pinched myself to make myself believe that it's true and not a beautiful dream.

"mam your shot is ready." a spot boy informed and I took a deep breath

I nodded my head and went outside.

It's the first time I'm going to act in front of a lot of people. I have acted in short films but it's totally different from that.

I saw Kiaan in front of me giving me an encouraging smile. I smiled Back at him..

Then we performed our scene where Jagruti met Mayank in a temple for the first time. Mayank was there for his parents and Jagruti for her daily puja.

I was very nervous but when I felt him squeezing my hand I only looked at him and I forgot that I'm even surrounded with so many people.

I felt as if I'm Jagruti only and it's our first time meeting.

Our first meeting came to mind but I shook it off.

The scene was done and director sir was impressed with my first shot because I completed the scene in one take only.

After that scene we had a funny scene where we both were throwing things on each other. And I was really enjoying it.

Soon the day ended and the shoot got wrapped up.

"Mehak you did a really good job on your first day. I hope your performance will be like this only throughout the whole shooting." director sir said

"I will try my best to perform well sir." I told him

"not try Mehak but you have to. Try to have no space here." He said and I nodded

Kiaan has already left as he got a call from someone.

He didn't even complete his shot. Shruti told me it's something important.

Shruti is really a nice girl and very friendly. I made her my friend while we were having lunch.

I finally left from there and sighed as my first day of work was done. And it was very good.

Hope my future days will be this smooth.
