I found Adom soon after, and excused myself, saying I was feeling a bit tired after all the attention. After making sure Adom had made it safely back to his room, and all my maids had been dismissed, I hurried to pull out what I had prepared. I almost ran through the rose gardens, hoping that Axel didn't think that I forgot about him. All I could think of, was the solitary form of that small child standing in front of his window, the lights and music from his twin's party dim and muted in the dark, emptiness of his room in that forgotten tower. It was already night time, and I could hear the distant sounds of the string band as I hurried through the winding path of rose bushes. I scaled the stairs, and slightly out of breath, I paused at his door before knocking. "It's me, Axel," I calle
