I felt giddy as Arlo and I walked through the town after dinner. I don’t think I’ve ever felt this happy with him, it was like every time he touched me I felt more and more at peace with him, more and more exuberant, and I felt like I was flying. He had his hand pressed to my lower back as he talked about what he did today, and I couldn’t even listen to any of it, because I was enamored with his voice and how he spoke. “You’re beautiful,” I said, interrupting him mid-conversation.
