He angrily let go of me and gritted out, "He has a high fever."
I leaned against the quilt with a frown. "How come?"
He pointed at me and said in a cold voice, "Stop pretending. Kieran has told me everything."
I was confused. "What did he say?"
He sneered, his eyes full of rage. "Still playing stupid, are you? Come down and see how Kieran is faring!"
He pulled me out of bed and dragged me downstairs to Kieran's room.
Lying on the bed, Kieran's cheeks were burning red. When he saw me, he shivered and hid behind the doctor treating him.
His attitude towards me had completely changed. I had a bad feeling about this. I approached him and asked, "What's wrong, Kieran?"
