CHAPTER 15
—
"Eyy, that was good," Dizen said as I shoot the ball on the ring, I rolled my eyes to him.
"It's for nth time and that was my first shoot, this is not really my forte," I said and shook my head to him.
He chuckled at me, "It's normal, Dems. It's just your first time and besides, it's not like you're required to learn this, I just want you to try and enjoy," he said as he guided me.
"So? This is your hobby?" I asked and roamed the place, we're here in their basketball court and it's huge. It's like its made for a big crown.
"Yap, me and my cousins usually play basketball when we were younger... we had fun we were high school until I left the country," he said and drink the water.
I nod at him, "Who's your closest cousin?" I asked.
He stares at me, "Guest," he said and stand in front of me, I'm seating on the chair so I'm looking up on him.
I pursed my lips, "Hexon?"
"Nope, we just became really close when I came back, but before we're not really get along," he said.
"Why?"
"Well, I don't like noisy people... before, and he's damn playful. We're actually fine, we just don't hangout with each other like just the two us," he uttered.
I bit my inside cheeks, "Right, I didn't even know that you're his cousin the first time we met,"
He chuckled at me, "I already know you even before when I was a kid, I always saw you in Hexon's house," he said, I look at him in confusion.
"But... not even once that I saw you, or maybe I just can't remember?" I asked.
"I was the guy next door, and I don't like going outside so it's really possible that you didn't see me," he said, he put his both hands on his waist as he looks at me.
I chuckled at him, "So how come that you're not the quiet guy anymore, huh," I asked teasingly.
He tsked, "Hmm, I think you don't like someone who is just quiet, you'll get bored," he said and smirked.
"You can't fool me, Zen. So, tell me, why?" I raised my brow to him.
"I felt offended," he said and act like he's hurting, I laughed, "Such a bad actor," I uttered to him.
He tsked, "You're such a savage woman," he said and sighed.
"Wow, really? You're the one who always—"
"Shh, Dems. Okay, I will shut my mouth, okay?" he immediately said.
I bit my lips to hide my smile, this adorable i***t man, "You didn't answer me," I said and glared at him.
He sighed, "I just want to, and maybe it's the influence of our group, you're all noisy," he said.
I scoffed at him, "So it's our fault, huh," I said and smirked at him
He shook his head, "Stop looking proud, you're making me cringe," he said.
I laughed at what he said, "Be thankful that we're your friends, such a good influence," I muttered playfully.
"I'm grateful, you don't to say that," he said and look at me seriously
"What's with the look, hmm?" I asked as I look back at him.
He sighed, "I feel like you think that I'm not grateful in this," he said.
"No, I'm just joking, did I offend you?" I asked worriedly.
He sat beside me, "Are you still mad at what I said before?" he asked.
I shook my head, "It was to be a joke, I didn't mean to delivered it that way," I explained.
He smiled, "It's alright, I just want to clarify it," he said.
I chuckled at him, "You look scary when you're mad," I stated.
He smirked at me, "That's my face before, I'm just with my poker face and I don't usually smile,"
"It's good that you're not that serious anymore, I felt like I wouldn't talk to you if you're like that," I said to him.
He hissed, "That's what I am saying, hmm,"
"What? Wait, I asked you who's your closest cousin, you still haven't answer, you're running around the bush," I said and widened my eyes on him.
He chuckled, "I can't really take you seriously when you're acting like you're mad but your voice and face can't cooperate,"
I pouted, "Shut up, Zen. Just tell me," I murmured.
"Hmm, it's... Xerox," he said and stood up, he dribble the ball. He's wearing a basketball jersey, it's number 2 at the back with his surname.
It suits him, I smiled at him, "Xerox looks intimidating until now, he rarely smile," I said.
He nods at me, "That's the reason we're close, we both like peace, we don't like crowded place and just want to stay at home," he uttered and shoot the ball, he winked at me when the ball shoot on the ring.
"Three point," I said and laughed.
"You're still close with him?" I asked, referring to Xerox.
He nods at me, "Yap, nothing changed. If there's one person who knows me, it'll be him,"
"When you went to other country, what was his reaction?"
He pursed his lips and laughed, "He didn't say anything, he just looks at me when I told him that we're moving in states," he said,
"He didn't say anything? As in? Did you lost communication or nah?" I asked curiously.
"No, actually after I moved from states, he called me and said that I should comeback cause he's so damn annoyed at Soren and Kier," he shook his head and laughed.
I chuckled too, "Those two are noisy," I said.
"Yap, I actually laughed at him that time, I told him he should try to interact with our cousin," he said.
"You're not close with Soren and Kier before?" I asked.
"I'm close with them, it's just Xerox that's not cause he came from Los Angeles and just went here went he was seven, I'm the only who can vibes with him so he didn't bother knowing our other cousin," he exclaimed.
"Oh so, you're already close to others before he came?"
"Yap," he glanced at me, "It's so weird how we became close," he said and shrugged.
"Why?"
He chuckled, "In our first meeting, that's so epic. We're not even talking, no, he's not speaking to anyone, he's just quiet and seating on the couch while me and our cousins are playing,"
"Then?"
He shook his head, "We were eating that time then he's seating beside me, I look at him when I noticed that he's staring at me, I raised my brow to him but the he just shrugged and went back to eating,"
