I didn't know how to feel about the first one and the second one.. well it was just a reminder but the first one really had me panicking and in terror. I couldn't think of how they could have possibly came at the wrong time.

I plan to surprise Ricardo for birthday. He always hate all the birthdays but I want to make Ricardo happy. Can't wait to see both of you much. I gulped down a feeling of hysteria, reading it again.
"Are you feeling okay?" Eric asked gently closing the fridge, pouring himself a glass of milk.. he did that every morning. He preferred milk over any type of juice.
"W-w-what? What gave you that idea?" I let out a obnoxious laugh. He looked at me weirdly before sitting across me with his glass in hand.
"Stop acting weird, we're cool right?" He asked. We hadn't talked much after that outburst last night. I didn't know if I could trust anything he said but what hurt me was, he said he was physically attracted to me so that's made a lot of sense as to why he would willingly sleep with me but want nothing more than that.
"T-totally cool." I quickly said. He gave me another raised eyebrow.
"Look let me do my job and well we won't have to see each other again right? I'm sorry for crossing the line and insulting your options but I really think what we have could blossom into a good friendship."
More hurtful words!
"Uh yeah.." I mustered.
"I trusted you with my past. Thanks for giving me time, I know you were probably weirded out at first... but thanks for giving me time to open up... I don't do that much. It's actually kinda hard-"
I felt like he would take back all these words once his Spanish brother arrived on my parents door step. Was he even going to stay here? Oh goodness of course that's why he obviously texted me. I doubt he planned on booking a hotel if he plans on spending as much time as he can with Eric. Who I'm pretty sure hates his guts.
"Yeah yeah.." I exaggerated. "I'm glad you opened up to me as well. I will always be that one friend you can count on."
"Thanks, I really appreciate that Leo." He said genuinely, I just had to cover up this hurt. Also this guilt for snooping around it was about to catch up with me. I would sure make up for it with the second text I had received earlier.

"So do you talk to your brother?" I asked making him immediately frown.
"Sometimes.." He bluntly replied.
"Ohh you must miss him." I added.
"As if!" He retorted rolling his eyes. "He is only keeping tabs on me because he is apparently in debt and desperately needs me to accept the will so I can give it to him or maybe borrow him as he would put it."
"Well..."
Was Luka lying to me? Manipulating me? Is this the only reason he was so quick to book a visa to come visit Eric. It did make sense and Eric was right I'm naive but then he could be wrong maybe Luka genuinely cares for Eric. I mean judging from the conversations we had he actually did or he was just as much of a liar as Eric and it's supposedly a family thing? Like their father. Well now I'm being petty-
"Have you thought about the fact that maybe he actually cares?" I said making Eric roll his eyes his annoyance written all over it.
"Totally, that's why he didn't contact me for years but only after the will and he never bothered to visit me in hospital after that accident." Eric spat, anger and bitterness consuming him.
"Maybe he had no idea." I pressed. "Don't just assume things. He is your only family."
"He isn't my family, Debby is my only family."
Well surely that was a kick in the gut.
"And you too when you aren't being annoying.." he said under his breath. "Also your mom and dad, they have been nothing but kind even with my tantrums." He added making me smile for a bit.
"My mom kind of hates your guts now." I said almost immediately.
He shrugged.
"I know.. I mean I would hate any guy whom I felt could potentially hurt my little girl."
Also because my mom kept going on and on about her dream. She was always paranoid about that kind of stuff. I told her over and over again that it wouldn't happen but she just wouldn't let her guard down. I did not plan on getting pregnant...
"Yeah.. but we're just friends right?"
Was I expecting a different response or pure pity?
"Definitely, Debby would love you too."
I felt the urge to roll my eyes. What was his problem? I felt as if every time he felt like he needed to put a boundary between us. He would mention Debby. I get it already, he loves the girl with the obnoxious accent. This was probably my jealousy fuming.
"Right.." I laughed along and then we engaged into awkward silence. I decided to pretend as if I was playing with my phone. Nick had said something along the lines.

I decided not to say much. I would tell him all about it in about a month. About the craziest idea, my best-friend and I had when we hired a fake boyfriend for me to come home with so I didn't look too wrecked and broken haha!
"Nick must be better with pickup lines unlike sugar t**s because you keep grinning at your phone.." Eric said breaking me away from my thoughts.
"He said he didn't know I had a boyfriend so I'm not sure what I should say..." I played along but it was a genuine question. I figured I might as well be honest.
Eric pursed his lips taking his time to reply, he clenched his jaw.
"I guess you could tell him it's all fake and see how he will be delighted to know that his new conquest occasionally shops for boyfriends online."

"You make it sound like I do it all the time, it was only once." I defended myself besides it was Laura's idea.
"I know but he doesn't know that but that's the impression you will give him. Also it would be shitty of you to introduce Elishama to him then taking him for yourself."
I hadn't thought about that.
"She seemed so lovey dovey with the guy.." he added and it was true, last night Eli looked smitten as she talked to him like no one else was in the room. She had even texted me asking for his numbers saying last night they got so lost in conversations that they forgot to exchange numbers.
"I suppose you're right."
I felt a tad bit jealous, I met Nick first.
"No need to rush into a relationship Leo, you still have me for a month plus you can always hire a replacement or better yet.." he smirked. "You can hire me for the rest of the year, f*****g crazy right. Imagine the fun we would have.."
My jaw was on the floor!?!
Was he serious?
Was he being sarcastic?
"What about Debby and Australia?" I questioned.
"Debby isn't dying is she and Australia isn't going to sink or move away right?" He gave me a devilish grin. It was cunning, I think we both knew there was more to this than we would like to agree on. It gave me a weary feeling that maybe he actually did have feelings for me... but I had already left space for disappointment to prepare myself for future heartbreaks so it wouldn't hurt as much.
I stared at him in disbelief before saying.
"I'm not going to waste my time living a fake life, Eric. I need to move on and properly experience all the things we're faking. I hope you find that with Debby as well. This is a bullshit idea." I let out.
He seemed stunned.
"Just say you don't want me, no need to run around the bush looking for excuses!" He exclaimed.
Now it was my turn to laugh.
"Do you want me to want you?" I questioned.
"Stop putting words in my mouth, Leo. I'm going to go have a smoke outside.." he said pulling out his lighter. I mentally rolled my eyes.
"Go right ahead mate."
"Thanks a lot, blood." He replied clearly annoyed. This conversation had been the most confusing thing I had ever heard of. It didn't lead to anywhere..
He was confusing.
