After maneuvering through the maze of crates, Elek sits in the captain's seat. "And to the mining planet we go."
Alden sits at the head of the conference table. "That was productive. We got the plans for the planetary shield you wanted. We also have plans for anti-meteor guns, which I believe will work as anti-everything. May have to adjust them, but they shoot right into space through the shield."
Alkawn grabs a paper. "The brains are figuring out how they are 0 waste. Also, their flying vehicles. They are completely different from ours."
"That sounds good."
Starlet sits up. "And everyone welcome our guests. This is Ed and Brelane. They will be traveling with us for a couple of weeks. They want to see space and another planet or 2."
"Welcome. I'm Kehlani. We'll get you a room soon. Are you hungry? I don't know what time it was on your planet."
"It's time for lunch, but I'm not sure if I could eat anyway." Brelane holds onto Ed like her life depends on it.
Alden smiles. "You're in no danger here. Enjoy your time and watch out the windows. I'm sure you'll see some amazing things you're not used to. Before you know it, you'll be back home and this will be over."
"12 minutes and we'll be there. I'll be right back. I have to piss." Elek runs out.
Half the table stands up and agrees with him. Alkawn pulls me out the command area and off to the side, "Those last 2 crates that got lifted in were black ore. You need to have something done with them unless you want them on the mining planet."
"Nope. No I do not. Thank you." I run down to my office. "The black ore is down there."
"Yes."
"What can you do with it?"
"Put it in the reserve tanks on this ship. It is the safest storage area for it."
"Do that."
"Of course."
"Can you move it in 10 minutes?"
"Yes."
"Great."
By the time I get back, everyone is back. Alden is landing on the mining planet now. "Shuttle bay is open, and the brains are taking the ore out. Nobody go down there."
Victor relaxes in his chair. "How we getting the animals out of the storage area?"
Elroy crosses his arms. "Put them in the shuttles. Then open the storage bay doors. The shuttles can fly out with them."
"I guess that does work."
Alden takes back off. "We are now on route to Terros. Let's eat dinner before we get there." He sits down as the food gets delivered.
Victor stretches? "Can we get more animals than chickens? I'm half tempted to go back to the snake planet and eat whatever the hell that was."
I crack up laughing.
Elroy shakes his head. "It was excellent. You should have eaten it. I didn't die."
"Tera ate it too." I point at her.
"It never dawned on me that different planets eat different meats and things. I was not prepared to hear that with a mouth full of meat."
"Was it the blue meat?"
"No."
"1 of the planets offered me blue meat. I was like nope. I nope out of that. I don't know what the hell animal is blue."
Tobias shakes his head. "That wasn't an offering. That was your last meal. They were trying to sacrifice you."
"Well, that's another reason not to eat it." We finish eating as we come to a stop on our planet.
I try to prevent daddy from seeing out any windows on the shuttle. But I think he saw the tower.
Emberlynna is standing there when we get there. "Sam will be here in an hour. He's flying in. Bryan sent the plane after him."
Elek goes to Alden. "Come on, I'll show you your new office. I know some of the stuff."
I peek at the pool and see slides. I wiggle. That's exciting. Then I go to Aldens office. Elek's in the middle of giving the tour.
"I know windows do the same things. The room locking. Air controlled. The rooms also have an access list like on the ship. If you want someone to be able to walk in, like mates, you put them on the access list. If you want them to knock, don't. Oh, in the offices, they are soundproof. So don't say enter. But you can say door open."
I snuggle into Alden, "Can I have an office too?"
"It's over there."
I glance at the tiny box office. "But no."
He laughs. "You can have 1 on the floor under this."
"Ok."
"Where's mine?"
"Victor, we haven't even seen them."
"They're the same, we saw them at the other castle."
"Fine. Kings on level's 6 and 7. You can pick your own. Tell the brain which 1 it is."
Victor and Tobias run for the elevator.
Alkawn stands up. "Those idiots don't realize there are 4 corner offices on every level."
"I didn't think about it, but the cafeteria is on level 1 of the earth castle tower. You might have got the entire cafeteria layout too."
"THAT CHOCOLATE."
"Sorry Alden. Shouldn't have said that."
"Woman, you got sick last time. Relax. I'll share some with you for dessert." He rubs my arms. "Clark, Jenny, Tim, Kennian, Elek, Elroy, Collin, and Tera. You can all pick an office on 2, 3, or 4. Tell the brain which office it is." He motions for the brain, "Can you escort Ed and Brelane to an apartment? Assign it to them for their stay."
"Yes sir."
"We'll be meeting back soon. I will summon you and you can get the tour. For now, relax for a few minutes."
"Thank you sir." Ed bows and leaves with Brelane.
I snuggle into him again. We're finally alone.
"I have got to piss woman." He goes over to the little box office and opens a door.
"I'm definitely not taking that office now, sir."
He winks. "I don't blame you. What should I do about the access list here?"
"I would give them all access. Else they're going to keep getting announced. If you don't want anyone in say lock room. Nobody is coming in like that. Even the elevators lock and won't come up here."
"Yea, I'll do that. Room put everyone at the table today on the access list for meetings. Any other time, announce everyone. Kehlani can be on the access list all the time."
I hug him. "You can be on my access list. Everyone else can knock."
He pats my butt. "You'll leave the door open, baby."
"But still. You can have access."
"Thank you." He kisses my head, and we get into the elevator.
We get down to the entrance and everyone shows back up.
"Everyone get your office? Ed, did you get an apartment?"
"Yes sir, thank you."
Alden nods. "Sam is going to walk in. Then we're going to do a tour of... I don't know. Where is Bryan?"
"HERE. I AM HERE."
"Thank you. We need a tour."
"No problem. Sam will be here in 3 minutes. He is being bussed from the airport. We will begin in the cafeteria and go through the new areas."
"Nice."
The cafeteria is the same as Nadine's castle. Then we tour an apartment. They have balconies now. The entertainment wing is all new. Lots of stuff I don't get. Bowling alley, virtual reality room, movie theaters, laser tag room. Mini-golf has black lights. Everything glows. Then there's a jump room. It's got so many things to jump on. I try to take off into it and Alden catches me. He carries me out. There's more but Alden's carrying me around while I cry because I want to go to the jump room.
The bottom floor of the entertainment wing is a huge pool. Then Bryan clicks a button and the wall opens. The whole wall. The pool is outside too. And there are huge slides out there and a river. Different pools.
To the side of the outdoor pools is a go-cart track. We keep going and come across the garage. Bryan has us all get in golf carts. I ride with Alden, and we go to the other side of the castle. It's the village. It's not done, but the roads are in. Some of the houses are built. It has lights in it above the roads. Then we go to the airport.
After that, I get something to eat in the cafeteria. Everyone else went to go see the new stuff. I'm getting tired. I motion to the brain. "Where is Alden?"
"His office."
"Thank you. No doubt playing with all his new stuff too."
I get in the elevator. It opens after a second and right in front of me is Alden leaning on his desk. A girl with long blonde hair and stupid big boobs is on her knees, with his d**k in her mouth. My heart breaks into a million pieces. I'm so done. I click the button to go down, and he knocks her out of the way. He runs for me, "It's a brain." but it's too late. The door shuts.
"Window open for departure." I jump straight out the window on the 7th floor. I don't know where to go. I can't leave the planet without him. That's what I want to do. I go up and lay on the helicopter pad. Nobody is up here. No brains. Only me. I let the tears pour out of my eyes and stare at the stars. Wishing I was lost in them.
