Dana is seated in a department meeting listening to the head of department talk about the results of the students in their faculty. They continue rambling on. Dana was never a fan of these meetings as he sometimes felt like his colleagues used them as reasons to scapegoat the students but on the other hand college students don’t cover themselves in glory too. The subject of discussion then comes to the performance of students in ACC410 (company accounts) which was taught by Dana that semester. He then stands up and begins his presentation. He clears his throat and says “well from the data I have here it seems like we have a pass rate of 90 percent. The rest is made up students who either qualified for a resit exam or those who failed outright. This pass rate is an increase from last year’s pass rate of 75 percent. Overall I believe in time I will be able to achieve at least one 100 percent pass rate in the next two years if I continue lecturing this particular module” he then sat back down and waited for questions but none came. The meeting ended a few minutes later and Dana checked the time, it read 12; 32 and he went to his car. He unlocked and drove off.

“So I have finished marking your science tests, I am impressed with the performance of the class in general. These are in order of highest to lowest. Brock Tough, hundred” said the teacher. Brock was daydreaming when he heard his name get called out by the teacher and he then went to the front of the class to collect his paper. “Keep up the good work” said the teacher and Brock sat down. He didn’t even bother to go through his test paper. He then began to daydream again thinking about playing video games. “How do you manage to always get a hundred percent every time” asked Gift. “I just study really hard” replied Brock. “Come on I studied hard for this and yet I only got a sixty eight” bemoaned Gift. The bell rang and they began to leave class. Brock walked with Gift “man I am so ready for the weekend, my mum is taking me to Lion Park” said an excited Brock “what will you be doing” asked Brock “oh I will be going to my cousins party” replied Gift.

Dana pulls into the school parking lot and waits. He checks the time and waits for a bit before he decides to get out and go look for Brock. As he is about to enter the school grounds he hears someone scream “daddy!” and he turns to see his son. “How was your day” asks Dana “it was okay” replies Brock as they walk to the car. They drive out of the school parking lot. “You know my teacher said she wanted to see you” said Brock “oh really what does she want to see me for” asks Dana “I don’t know she didn’t say” replies Brock “I hope you aren’t trouble” warns Dana, “if it’s because I’m smarter than everyone in class than maybe I’m in trouble” said a smug Brock. They both laughed before Dana said “alright let me listen to the news” as they continued the drive home. They arrived home. As they got out of the car Roman charged at the both of them and the speed at which he came running at shocked Dana. He picked him up and said “hey beast” before Roman just giggled and they went into the house. They ate lunch together before Dana said “alright boys I am going to take a nap” “and I am going to Kevin’s house” replied Brock. “Can I come” asked Roman “no” replied Brock “please pretty please” pleaded Roman “I said no” replied Brock. This caused Roman to tear up a start to cry and Dana picked him up and said “let’s go sleep, your older brother doesn’t like us” and Brock walked out and went next door.

Brock arrives and he knocks on the door. “Coming” answers a voice from inside the house. A few minutes later Kevin opens the door. “Hey Brock, come on in” says Kevin as he invites Brock inside. “So is it still there” asks Brock as he runs into the house “no it was taken down so that means we have to start from scratch” says Kevin. “Well at least today we have time today, so at least we can finish” replied Brock. Kevin then went into his room and brought out a set of LEGO’s. Kevin then spreads the pieces across the carpet and says to Brock “well sir, let’s get building” as they set out on building the set.  They boys go at building the set for hours and they are impressed with their work. “ It looks just like the picture on the box “says Kevin “ yeah and it took us two and a half hours to complete” replies Brock. “ yeah and now that means I can push through a LEGO building” says Kevin as he pushes Brock through the set collapsing the near 5ft tower they had just built. This prompts Brock to say “oh now you’re in trouble” as he charges at Kevin and takes him down. They play wrestle for a while with Kevin being kept on the floor by Brock. After a few minutes Brock lets Kevin up and says “you may be older but I am stronger” before he laughs at Kevin who quickly gets a cushion and throws it at Brock who easily evades it. However the cushion hits a vase that is very dear to his mother. In a split second the vase that was doomed is somehow caught by Brock much to the astonishment of Kevin. “How did you get there so fast” asks Kevin. Brock puts the vase back on the table and shrugs before he says “I’m also very quick”.
