Casey walks in and says “ good morning ladies and gentlemen. I am here on behalf of the shareholders . For the better part of ten months our research and development team have bee hard at work. It is known within these company walls that the work they have bee doing is the development of a vaccine, a vaccine that I can confidently say is ninty percent done. As I speak it is in the testing stage and soon we shall get it the releveant authroites to test for its efficacy. That being said the purpose of this meeting is to let you guys know that you should start preparing your thank you speeches because once the media, the world leaders and the general public get wind of this. We will not only be showered with praise but also with attention. The next time I will be in these premises I will be here to announce the vaccine to the rest of the world”. The managers then give her brief round of applause and she takes her seat as the next speaker takes their place.
Dana walks in to the boardroom. He takes his seat next to the departmental head. The head of department begins by saying “ good morning ladies and gentlemen. I hope we are all rather well rested and ready for the next semester. The results of last semester for the university as a whole are not good, but I have to give credit where it’s due and extent a token of gratitude to Dr Tough as the courses he taught had a very pass rate”. The Head of department waits and everyone gives Dana a short round of applause. “ that being said I have used this meeting to tell you guys what course you will be teaching for the upcoming semester and that is no different. I have decidied to keep things as they were, I will consider shuffling you guys around in a year’s time. That being said my lips have been moving for far too long and I think this meeting is adjourned. Use the time between now and the beginning of the semetster as an opportunity to not only prepare for your classes but to spend time with your families as well as to rest and recharge” says the head of department as they all leave. Dana is about to leave before the head of department says “ Mr Tough a word please” and Dana waits “ my term as head of the finance and accounting department will be ending next year and I will be ascending to deputy Dean. I was aksed by the higher ups who I think would be suitable to take my place and I think that guy should be you. So use this semester as a chance to get yourself noticed, well not noticed but make it an easy decision for them” says the head of department.
Ray and Cathy stop near a forrest. They get out of the car and walk into the forest to investigate what happened. “ so this is the place right” asks Ray “ yeah I think so besides they aren’t many forests that burned down in capetown so I yeah” replies a sarcastic Cathy “ well the place is defitly burnt. By the looks of it. I just wonder if what Dana said is true” says Ray “ I for one am hoping that it is wrong” replies Cathy. They continue into the forest observing it more. Ray then puts on a pair of glasses that look like reading classes but in truth they are high powered devices that can do a variety of tasks, one of those tasks being detecting power levels in enemies and scanning for anadite activity. Ray takes of his glassed and says “ yes he was right. There was an anadite here. The fire was started by one, and judging from the levels this is a pretty powerfull one. Like similar to an adult anadite foot soldier” says Ray. Cathy then uses her power of time manipulation to go back into time. she sees Brock wandering into the forrest. She approaches him but from the looks of it his body is there physically but he is not there mentally as his eyes are closed. Brock then crouches and jumps up and releases a huge amount of heat and flames from his body. This causes the grass and trees to catch fire resulting in a big fire. He then flies away. Cathy returns to the present and puts her head in her hands. “ it’s true, there was an anadite here. And that anadite was Brock. He seemed unaware of what he was doing, like he was sleepwalking so everything Dana said is true” says Cathy with tears in her eyes “ you said the glasses said the power level is the equivalent of an adult footsoldier what if other members of the universe picked it up” adds a concerned Cathy “ well lucky for us Earth is far from the enforcers and creatures like Silgax so no one will discover us. Besides forest fires are a common thing” says Ray as he hugs his wife trying to calm her down “ what will happen if they do come here and find us on earth” “ that will not happen, and in the event that it does, I will protect my family like I did last time” replies Ray “ I hope it wont be at the cost of innocent lives” says Cathy “ this is our home now, any threats that come from the multi verse I will deal with accordingly” says Ray.
