CHAPTER 7} SHE STOLE MY HEART YEARS AGO

########## RUTHLESS POINT OF VIEW ##########

I decided to catch up on some work while James is talking to Shantelle in the kitchen; to give them some privacy. I have a stack of profiles sitting in front of me on the coffee table in the living room of people that I need to keep an eye on. They don't call me RUTHLESS for nothing. Shall we just say I'm the g**g's muscle and when need be the Hitman. I know what you're thinking I'm not a bad guy. I don't just go around willy-nilly killing people or putting them in the hospital for nothing. I go over the profiles and watch each person doing my homework on them. Get to know their schedule everything about them without their knowing. If I find the alleged allegations against them to be of Truth, by verifying the facts myself then I proceed with business and handle it how I see fit. But if the alleged allegations against them don't fit then I have a talk with the person who put the profile in front of me cuz I don't like going after people over stupid s*** that ain't worth someone's life. They have to be really bad people like r****t to child r****t to s*x traffic runners. Those are the kind of people I put six feet under so to speak. Anybody else might get a good beating few days in the hospital but you got to do something real bad like that to earn your life being took by me. I start looking over the profiles trying my best to focus on the information in them but having a hell of a time doing so. This new turn of events with Shantelle and Dean Stark seems to be the only thing that wants to be on my mind. You see, I've done my homework and my research on Dean Stark back when he started to learn the ropes, so that he could take over his father's game as their leader. Since he was his father's only heir. I've studied and watched him for years giving me the time to learn that his father and him are not bad guys given the world we live in. Like his father he's an honorable guy. He keept his word when he gave it. So I knew when he told James that she'll be safe with him on his word that she'll be fine. Dean Stark will do everything in his power to make sure she stays safe as long as she's with him, and heaven help anybody that does try to harm her. I've also learned about him and how he can be a very merciless monster of a guy as well. When it comes to the person or persons that hurts the people he cares about and loves. That doesn't mean I have to like it though, that's for damn sure. I'm brought out of my thoughts when I hear James's voice as he's walking into the living room from the kitchen. "Man, I don't know how you can be so cool about Dean wanting to date my sister .... You must truly be in love with her." He says to me as he sits down next to me on the couch and grabs couple of the profiles. "She stole my heart years ago. We both know that. I don't know if I'm cool with it .... I sure as hell don't like it, but she needs to experience some things on her own... Before I even try and take the chance of telling her how in love with her I am." I tell him throwing the profiles in my hand back onto the coffee table as I sit back on the couch before continuing. "I don't want to be one of the ones that comes and goes in the first few relationships that she's going to have. You know that. I'm looking at the big picture in the long run, and now is not the right time too make that happen. I want to be her forever, and in order to make that happen... I have to let her be free first." I finished telling him. "Yeah I guess you're right man .... I'd be cool with you being her forever man." He tells me. " I will be the one there to pick up the broken peaces of her heart each and every time and that's a fact." I tell him in all seriousness. We both became distracted from our conversation as we heard a knock at the door. "You expecting anyone ??" James asks me. "No-Man are you ??" I asked him back as we both still stare at the door. "No, I don't think so .... But I'll find out right now." He says getting up off the couch and walking over to the door to answer it.

########## Shantelle's Point Of View #########

Taking one last look at myself in my full-length mirror, I decide that I looked decent enough to be going out with Dean. Since there was already a message from him on my phone when I got done talking to my brother.

****** One Hour Ago ******

Stud muffin : Hey beautiful would you like to go out to a movie with me and then to dinner this evening ??

Me : What time are you picking me up ??

Stud muffin : Can you be ready in an hour ??

Me : Sure can see .... See you in an hour

****** Now ******

True to his word there's a knock at the front door downstairs one hour later. Grabbing my purse throwing my, cell phone, cell phone charger and my wallet in it, (which of course I have my money and cards in), I excitedly head out my door and down the stairs. Reaching the bottom of the stairs I see my brother, Ruthless, and my date standing awkwardly staring at each other. " Wow how awkward is this ? Anyways... Brother, I love you and I will see you later this evening , Ruthless have a good evening , and Dean, are you ready to go ??", Was my simple statement to the three as I grabbed the hand of my date and rush out of the door.

"So when he breaks her heart , witch one of us is stopping the other from hurting him ??" James asked me as we watch Dean opening the door for Shantelle. "Who says he's going to be the one to break her heart ??" That's what I asked him as I watched them watch pull away. "Shit." Was what I heard from James as sudden realization clicked in his mind. I decided to just leave him there to ponder as he stared out at nothing and got back to my files. The one thing constantly crossing my mind was, how damn beautiful she looked as she ran out the door.
