CHAPTER 9}"READY ON THE COUNT OF THREE" (CLICK) "READY"

My clumsy a*s brother and his best friend probably don't think I saw them, but there wrong.

I yelled through my brothers bedroom door, "Next time take the sunglasses off your Head it's night time !!" , As I was running the up stairs to my room. "You blinded me with the reflection from the street light." I finished after hearing a ,(SMACK) "f*****g James's", " Ow What the f**k Jessie !!" Then I slammed my door and locked it, grabbing the wooden chair and wedged in under the door handle. Grabbing the Dre beats headphones and aux cord off my dresser, I drop backwards landing on my bed. Just as I get everything hooked up I hear knocking on my door. I hit play on the phone and let the music take me a way. With my headphones on and my eyes closed laying there my body takes over and starts dancing to the music. About 5 or 6 songs in I wonder if my poor door is still taking a beating, so I open my eyes to look and thank heavens my scream is instantly covered by the intruders hand. My heart starts to beat again once Ruthless face registered with my brain. I do my best to catch my breath. "You okay ??" He whispered with a satisfactory smile on his face. "How the hell did you get in" I asked whispering back. "That's for me to know and you to find out " he whispered really close to my ear causing a tingling feeling to shoot through me. I hoped he hadn't cought the hitch in my breathing, "I love the way you react to me." He says dropping down beside me on my bed and pulling me up against him. "How was your date ??" He asked me. "It was perfect." I said flatly. "That kiss is as far as it got .... Right ??" He asked. "I don't kiss and tell .... Sorry Jessie." I tell him. "How far did he go Shantelle ??" , "Not as far as you." I replied. "I just wanted to let you know you're brother had to go handle something's and won't be home until tomorrow, and I have to go meet up with him." He informed me. "Then who's he living here ??" I asked. "Leo, Dom, Kev and Vick." "Not the goon ...." I whine. "Good night" he said kissing me on the head while getting up and heading to my door. Moving the chair aside and unlocking it he goes out shutting it behind him.

Next thing I know my bedroom door opens slightly and Leo slips in shutting the door putting his finger up to his lips signaling for me to be quiet. So I quietly mouth,( will you please turn off the light), and he gives me a thumbs up and does. As I watch Leo's silhouette in the dark curious as to what he's doing I hear my door knob start to be turned and here comes in Vick the goon stepping through my door. Leo snatches him up putting one of his arm behind his back and saying, "yeah I don't f****** think so .... Good night sweet dreams Shantelle". As he's escorting the goon Vick out the door. I can't help the little laugh that escapes my mouth as I tell him goodnight as well. Dom reaches in telling me goodnight and locking my bedroom door before shutting it. Laying there for what seemed like forever I finally decided I wasn't going to be able to fall asleep because of how excited I was from the earlier night events. I got up changed into a pair my Miss me jeans black spaghetti-strap tank top and then I grabbed one of my oversized hoodies. To complete my outfit I grabbed my black vans skater shoes.

I walk into my closet and push a spot on my wall popping a panel open to reveal a button. Pushing the button I wait for the floor to slide back to reveal the stairs.

********** FLASHBACK *********

Dad : "Come with me ...... I want to show you something." He says too me as I walk in the door grabbing my hand.

Me : "What is it daddy ??" I asked following behind him.

Dad : "It is a secret that you can't tell anyone okay ?? Not even your Mommy or Brother."

He tells me as we reach my closet.

Me : "But daddy mommy and brother already know about my closet." I say scratching the top of my head in confusion.

Dad : "That's not the secret, this is." He says pushing in a spot on my wall. Popping a panel open.

Me : "Wow !!"

Dad : "Now, I want you to push the secret button." He pointed at the button and I excitedly comply pushing the button. My eyes go wide as part of my floor started to slide open, revealing a staircase. Walking down the stairs, lights come on ahead of us, turning off behind us as we go. At the bottom of the stairs is a long hallway that looks to have no ending. We start walking for what feels like forever. My father listen the entire way to me rambling on about how cool this is. Finally coming up to the bottom of another staircase leading up to what looks like a dead end wall my father pushes a spot causing the wall to slide open. We walk into another closet only in a different house.

Shantelle : "Where are we daddy ??"

Dad : "Your secret home. Go take a look around." He tells me walking around turning on the lights so I can see around. There is three floors. The top floor is a huge master bedroom with a huge bathroom and walk-in closet that we came out of. The second floor has four bedrooms and the first has a dining room a living room a family room and a kitchen.

Walking up to the bottom of the second staircase, I head up to the top pushing the same spot I remember my father did. I wait for the wall to slide open and walk through into the huge closet. I grabbed a different hoodie and put it on. Walking in the bedroom I grabbed my longboard and headed down to the kitchen to grab a bottle of water. I don't know how but every time I have been here the place has been cleaned and the food and everything always fresh. I continue to the front door and head out grabbing my keys to lock the door behind me. Once I get to the street out front I drop my longboard and start skating down hill all the way to the park that leads to the huge river. Walking along the waters edge getting lots in my thoughts on my way to a friend's camp. I get brought back to reality when I hear a twig snap just behind me. Turning around quickly I see a huge man coming up to me. I tell at him, "Stay back away from me and don't come any closer !!!!" He keeps coming though. So I let out a scream as I start to run and hit the panic button on my keys making a loud siren sound and flashing lights. The guy tackles me into some trees sending us both rolling down hill. When we stop rolling the man has me pinned down under him sitting on my back.

Man : "No one is going to save you princess." Sticking his hand down the font of my pants as I tried to struggle free. When his hand touched my buddle of nerves I froze out of shock. As he starts moving his finger in circles then grinding his hard on on my butt I can feel the tears start to run down my cheeks. I feel him take his hand out of my pants as he begins pulling them down until my a*s is exposed.

Man : "Are you ready ?? On the count of three ...." I don't even realize that the panic siren was off until I heard a familiar voice.

Familiar voice : (CLICK) "Ready !!"

Man : "What the f**k .... Mind your f*****g own kid !!" He yells.

Familiar voice : "You ready to die for f*****g with what's mine old man ??"

Man : "Since when does little Dean Stark claim a girl as his ??" He asked getting off of me.

Dean : "Since I found one worth my time." He replied watching me pull up my pants and crawl away from the man getting up to my feet.

Dean : "Come on babe." He softly says to me as he holds out his hand.

I gladly take it letting him guide me past the man who he is still pointing the g*n at.

Man : "Until next time princess." I hear the man say before I hear the panic siren and then the thud of his body hitting the ground, fallowed by silence.
