Aiden looked at the woman and couldn't help but think of the little girl he saw years ago. Completely identical but the woman before lost the shine in her eyes when she smiled. He wanted to know what happened that caused this change in her. He didn't personally know her but she somehow brought the desire to live in his life. They met at the hospital after his bad accident. He was just told that he could never walk again in his life let alone have a child when she barged into his ward.

She was also in a cast . Her bright personality was overwhelming despite the situation everyone was in. He admired his wolf and mark on her neck. It was only then that he remembered the fact that she had also marked him. Didn't she say that she is injured along with her wolf? What the hell is going on, he thought.

He then ran towards the bathroom and checked his neck on the vanity mirror. He could have looked at it from the cellphone he picked up on the night stand but he wants to see the whole view of her mark. He felt the possessiveness in her when she marked him. He made it a point to ask his best buddy to check her out later. He so badly wants to find a female doctor due to his possessiveness but he knows how talented his friend is.

He was amazed seeing a fiery wolf tangled with his black wolf. Although weird, he felt that it was just right. Usually, there's only one wolf on the neck of the marked wolf. His uncle 's neck has his aunt's white wolf. Red wolfs are rare but his mate's and future wife's seems to be textbook red. Not the usual red you, it's like lava. He quickly ran to the bedroom and looked at her neck.

He almost fell down when he saw the same mark. This is unheard of and he knows that. He can't afford for anyone to see this. He quickly closed his eyes and chanted, forming a normal black wolf on her neck covering the mark his mate has. It is just a temporary solution until he figures out what is going on. The maximum time it will stay on is a month before returning to normal . He did the same to his mark to buy them some time.

It's not like he doesn't trust his friends. He doesn't want to risk it getting out whether by accident or any other form. He also doesn't want to put them at risk due to the sensitivity of the issue. He also noticed that this spell didn't take more energy, it felt like a drop in the ocean. He hasn't felt like this in ages. The last time was before he got injured years ago. He sighed as he covered her with a blanket.

He got up to call for Caster. Caster was surprised that they successfully marked each other. Especially with the extend Hope 's injuries. He thought that she had lost her wolf and was prepared to tell her to live life as a human. He also noticed that something was different with his best friend but couldn't put a finger on it. He did a normal check up under the watchful gaze of Aiden.

He didn't cross any boundaries nor was he thinking of doing any of whatever was going on in Aiden 's mind. Alphas!! He noticed that most of her internal injuries were nearly healed. The energy combustion was under control. His eyes went wide with every test he did. He gave the two a look and thought that maybe that is the results of their genes and the fact that they are both alphas.

" This is too unusual and unheard of. Her internal injuries are healed, not even a miracle could fix that and i am surprised she was still standing when i saw earlier. The marking went well i see. I can also sense her connection to you but not with the pack" Caster said.

" She has to pledge in to be a member of the howling moon pack. Right now, she should be connected to her own pack i guess. She's not a normal wolf you see. I doubt i would be willing to join another pack if i were masked. It's an ego thing. That's why those from the alpha bloodline and any other high ranking wolves have to pledge in before becoming a full member of the pack. You know how it is. They can't force an alpha to be a member of a pack just because he or she has a mate. As you can see, her wolf is a direct alpha not a Luna wolf." Aiden pointed out.

" That's true. She's okay for now. The energy is neutralized but i don't know if it will act up again. She needs to learn how to control her because not only will she be in pain, but you will too " Caster said withdrawing his fingers from her wrist and taking the handkerchief back.

" How long will she be out of it?" He asked.

" I don't know. She is fine now and it looks like she's just sleeping. She should be able to wake up in a couple of hours. The only thing we can do now is to wait" caster responded getting ready to go. His job was done here .

" Okay, make more research about her condition later. Don't let anyone about it and don't leave any evidence behind regardless of what you find. This matter stays between me and you. No one other than us will know." Aiden said.

Seeing the serious face on his friend's face, caster knew that this matter is more serious than he thought. He nodded and said goodbye before this man's possessiveness returns. Aiden thought for a moment and gave the form that she had signed earlier to his butler to process. By the time this woman wakes up they will be legally married. He has his connections after all.

He doesn't just want to settle for the natural ways recognized by the were council. He wants more. He ripped off the prenup his assistant had written. He sighed thinking about what the assistant of his woman did. Although he also knows that some of the people close to him are trustworthy, he couldn't help but want to check them out just to be sure.

He doesn't want her to be involved in his troublesome family and he knows that he needs to end it soon so he can be there for her. He was about to shred the pieces, he saw a sentence that caught his eyes. He squinted his eyes looking at it and since he had nothing to do at this he decided to piece it together again. He grew up with Cameron at the howling moon pack so he knows that he won't do anything to him.

He looked at Hope and decided to piece it together on the coffee table nearby. He is very reluctant to leave her side even if it's just a minute. He sighed knowing that it's the mate bond's doing. He had a faint reason as to why Cameron might do something like this. He sighed and continued on the puzzle pieces until he managed to piece together the torn pages . The more Aiden read , the more his forehead twitched. That woman can't have any children and she's always wanted to have children. When he broke up with her two years ago, they were already talking about having a surrogate and an egg donor. Yes , his ex is Cameron 's sister. As his friend and brother in law , he knew the reason why they broke up in the first place.

Although this prenup is in favor of Aiden, it is all for that woman 's sake. Thank God she had never got a chance to read it. He can only imagine how hope will react. It's been two years and he's already moved on but clearly Camero hasn't. He doesn't want to take hope back hope where she will be put in an awkward situation thanks to his best friend and ex.

He took all the torn pages and threw them to the fireplace. I think it is time i consider my relationships very seriously is what he thought. All the woman he met recently were met with bad endings,he wonders if Cameron has anything to do with that. He took the phone he was holding earlier and was about to send him a text when he noticed the screen with a picture of a complete chess.

So his wife likes chess. He smiled and placed it on the side table. He found his on the coffee table and sent a text to Cameron, informing him that he will be staying a little longer on this territory. He won't alert the enemy and wants to see who else is involved in this.

" Sir the lawyer called and asked if you already signed the prenup." the butler who had just arrived said.

" Tell him no and that there is no need. I don't plan on getting a divorce especially with everything that's going on with my health. And Joe, find me another lawyer that takes on private cases" he said.

" I will do that Sir. My brother is a lawyer and has his own firm outside of the pack. He mostly deals with private clientele." Joe said.

" Okay, tell him to come over in disguise. No one should suspect that i am talking to a different lawyer for now. Is Caster still here?" Aiden asked.

" I will inform him sir and doctor caster left an hour after sir Cameron. He said that he will be out for an hour and hasn't returned yet. " Joe replied.

" I see , tell him that he has a week off. I will be staying here until hope recovers. " Aiden said.

" I will inform him sir and dinner will be ready in 30 minutes " he said before bowing to excuse himself. He didn't forget to leave the marriage certificates in front of his boss making Aiden grin.
