The atmosphere inside Kallum’s office is stifling, and aside from the sound of the rustling of gauze as Syr tended to Kallum’s wound, only stilled silence covered the air, making it hard for the newly arrived Rio to open his mouth and report the subsequent events that transpired after the two left the ambush vicinity of the assassin.
Syr ignored Rio’s arrival as her eyes stayed focused on bandaging Kallum’s neck. She had cleaned it all up nicely, and even after seeing it being bundled up by her own hands with her own eyes, Syr is still on the line of anxiety.
Some thoughts of blame also attacked her mind due to her casual and complacent attitude, resulting in the reality that a fly escaped her senses, getting close enough to her husband for her comfort.
