Chapter 10The hospital was silent. This wasn’t the kind of hospital that she had been in during her brief stay in New York City’s finest. No, here things were different. Here she was in a room that was silent. There was no noise to be filtered out through the walls of a mad world beyond the building. Here, it was quiet and tranquil, the kind of place that you would expect to stop and find some actual rest and relaxation. It was the kind of place where you would happily stay and heal your body and mind. It’s what a hospital is supposed to be like.
