She did make it to the varsity for the opening game and never relinquished that spot. She did grow a bit and was now 5'5". That is a bit small but what she lacked in height and weight, she made up in enthusiasm. She worked hard in the weight room and could bench 190 and squat 240. She practiced hard every day and gave a number of her offensive teammates headaches. She was among the most competitive on the team, always encouraging others.
