Avery and Twix walked out of the bedroom to find everyone quietly staring at Angelo, who
appeared frozen in place and in a trance. “What’s going on?” Avery whispered.
Illan and Justice both looked to him and immediately went to his side and hugged him. Illan pulled back and cupped his cheek. “How are you? Is there something we can do to help you?”
Avery smiled at his big mate’s concern for him. “I’m doing okay. Twix helped me. And I’m not sure what you can do right now, but don’t go too far, I may need you at any second.”
