Meeting my mate

Chapter 5

It has been great having Sienna here. I am glad that things have worked out between her and Sirius. She has become a close friend since her arrival. I just wish there hadn’t been so many bumps in the road for her. Well, I suppose if you end up mated to one of the biggest male wh.ores known to man, I guess it won’t be plane sailing for the relationship.

The poor woman has had to put up with harassment with his exes, a kidnapping after she just gave birth to their son August, a challenge for the right to be Queen and now she is pregnant again and not too thrilled with him knocking her up so quickly.

I also have my little nephew on the way, and Shannon had her pup as well, which makes my brother and Katya aunt and uncle to their little boy.

Despite being pregnant, Sienna has still trained me, giving me even more skills than I had previously. She has just avoided sparring, so August wasn’t hurt in any way. It has been great learning how to fight using the elite squads training, and if my mate doesn’t show up soon, I am planning on putting in my application.

Mum and dad asked me to hold off for a bit. I think it was more that they didn’t want to let me go yet than thinking I may find my mate. Not that they will admit that, so unless they put a spanner in the works or my mate happens to come to Sienna’s crowning ceremony, then I will apply the week after.

You know what they say famous last words and all that, well I was just about to find out how true those words were as the spanner in the works was not my parents but a certain dragon Prince.

I was just standing there minding my own business as I gave my brother a hug when Prince Tybolt, who I have not seen in years, is growling and acting like an a.ss towards my brother. Sirius reined him in making sure he knew that was my brother, and it was best not to pi.ss me off or upset my brother or I was more than capable of dealing with him.

He made a rather lousy compliment in the form of “Sorry man, I just saw you hugging my mate and I seen red, I had no idea it was your sister, I didn’t recognise you at all Crimson. You are a different from the last time I saw you, you have really become a beautiful woman” he says, looking mesmerised by me.

I couldn’t just let that go without winding him up a bit, “And you are no longer a skinny little teenager I see” I slap back as he looks somewhat surprised by my comment.

“That was a clumsy attempt at flirting I must admit, but you have become the most beautiful woman I have ever seen, would you do me the honour of sitting with me during the ceremony and the meal so we can get reacquainted with each other” he asks me much more smoothly than his last attempt.

“I suppose I can, tell Mum and Dad I will introduce him properly after the ceremony” I agree as I ask Chris to let my parents know why I am not sitting with them. They will probably work it out quickly, but it is only polite to get him to pass on the message.

His father, the current king, looks really happy that his son has me as his mate. On the other hand, the Queen Tybolt’s stepmum is scowling so much that the phrase "bulldog chewing a wasp" comes to mind, and I have to stop myself from chuckling at the image.

Sienna looks stunning in her red gown, and the new crown is beautiful. I really hope the East Dragons crown isn’t as awful as our previous one, or I may have to ask to get a new one designed for me when the time comes.

My parents are over the moon that I am mated to a king, not that it was too much of a shock, considering we were told that I would be a leader by the ex witch Queen. They grill him plenty, and he accepts all of their questions and threats with grace and diplomacy while assuring them that he will make sure that I am happy and loved.

His father is charming throughout the meal, talking to me loads so he can get to know me better. He is very impressed that I am the top warrior and that I was a straight A student in school and I have already done training for all of the kingdoms roles, and that I also have extensive knowledge of the other species and how they rule and run things in their kingdoms.

His mate, on the other hand, just glowers at me while refusing to engage in any conversation at all if I am involved. It is pretty petty and childish as far as I am concerned, both the king and Tybolt are picking up on the atmosphere and are not particularly pleased with her attitude, as she is also throwing her glares towards Sienna as well, and it is just not behaviour that is becoming of a queen.

Tybolt’s pov

Katarina managed to embarrass both Dad and I as soon as we arrived, she picked a fight as soon as she saw Sirius, and started to complain to him about the treatment Casandra got from him while she was in his kingdom.

Sirius nipped it in the bud straight away as he warned her that he would also banish her if she was so desperate for Casandra to have the same treatment as her. Dad was not impressed as he apologised and was quite stern with her that she would not make any issues while we were here.

Then I smelled the most devine smell of roasted marshmallows and hot chocolate that sent Storm into a tailspin as he yelled at me to find our mate. As soon as we set eyes on her Storm was in a rage as she was hugging another man, one that is also mated last I heard to the previous Gamma’s daughter.

I made the mistake of threatening Chris as I growled out my claim on our mate. I am just thankful that Sirius stopped me from doing anything stupid to my mates brother.

After an embarrassing apology and lame compliment, she threw one back at us as I was standing there mesmerised by her. Her hair was like fire itself, in a rich deep red with tones of burgundy and Amber through it. Her eyes looked like they held fire in them. They were the most stunning and unusual shade of Amber.

I can’t believe that Crimson is my mate, I used to have a bit of a crush on her when we were kids. Her beauty, determination, and strength had always managed to capture my attention. But hell, she was no girl anymore, with her radiant beauty and sinfully sexy curves that she has developed, sent blood rushing straight to my co.ck.

I was just happy I didn’t mess it up completely as she agreed to stay with me through the rest of the day and evening. I had heard from Cassie that she was dragonless, which I have to say surprised me then and even more now.

I mean, I know she is an omega, but she should have been able to feel the raw power that radiated from my gorgeous mate. I have no idea why her dragon has not appeared yet, but both Storm and I can feel her in there and how strong she is.

Dad was just as enamoured with her as I was. He linked me to congratulate me on finding my beautiful and strong mate, telling me that she would make a fine queen when our time came. I know he was just as shocked as I was when he felt her dragon as he had heard the rumours too,

Katerina wouldn’t talk to her at all as she spent her time scowling at her and the new Queen. I hate that she is not happy for me and isn’t giving her a chance. I love Katerina, she is the only mum I have known and I really want her to be happy for me and love my mate as she has done with me.

It was a beautiful evening, and I made the most of having Crimson in my arms as often as possible as we danced the night away.

Having her body pressed up against me so close as if we were joined made Storm, and I feel like we were whole, and she was all we could ever need in this life and the next. The only issue that we were having right now is that we were so bloody hard right now that I was worried that I would explode as soon as she put her delicate hands on me. The last thing I want to do is embarrass myself the first time we are intimate. I may have to deal with my not so little problem before I even attempt to do anything else.

So after I managed to sneak off and relieve myself, I was a bit frustrated when I managed to get her alone, and she insisted that we talk first. The way she spoke was more effective than relieving myself or a cold shower would have been. She looked so serious. Storm and I were genuinely scared that she didn’t want us.
