You feel its ominous presence in the dreary halls, populated by lost and confused souls waiting for the final checkout. Maybe that’s an unfair observation and judgment on the staff who do their best to bring sunshine into their residents’ lives, but it’s a cold, hard fact when your mind and body fail you.
