MALPRACTICE James Mathews –––––––– In the crowded hospital cafeteria, Roger sat alone. He picked disinterestedly at his lunch, watching his friends and colleagues give him a wide berth. Word had travelled fast, and they all knew what must be coming. Roger had spent the last few days frantically searching for a way out of his current predicament. Now, he was just waiting for the hammer to fall. As if on cue, the large glass doors which separated the cafeteria from the rest of the hospital slid noiselessly open, and Dr. Benedict stepped through.
