37 I’d been swimming for a while before I reached the waterfall again. I was amazed at how quickly I’d made it so far upriver. I’d been alone for only a short time. We’d stopped talking to each other before we became too tired. Again. The water was rushing past me at a great rate and it’d been increasingly difficult to keep up my pace as I’d approached the falls, but I was determined to get to the caves. There were lots of fish here. I hadn’t seen them last time. I wasn’t exactly paying attention. I was too busy pretending to be dead. I’d passed many on my journey back up the river, swimming past me. Watching me. These ones kept to the edges as the rushing water from the falls was creating a strong current. One of the bigger fish was rainbow coloured. I thought it looked beautiful. The
