Chapter 11 Kiko yawned into the back of his hand again. Apart from a child throwing up over in the table section, there had been nothing of note so far this morning, and he was seriously considering asking Katie to go out and pick him up a coffee. He did not want to closely examine how much sleep he’d gotten the night before. “What is it?” asked Katie as she brought up more egg-shaped truffles from the basement and moved to put them in the case. “Just wondering why I don’t have a coffeepot here,” said Kiko, and she smirked. “What were you up so late for?” He smiled and shook his head at her. “There are children here,” he said, which caused her to smirk even more.
