Chapter Eight She hated Saturdays, but even more so during the holiday season. Customers were idiots, but during December, they seemed to go deeper into stupidity. They were thoughtless to retail people, because they were thoughtless to their families all year long. Now, they were rushing around doing their best to make up for it by purchasing some trinket they hoped would make their loved one smile Christmas morning, but which they would inevitably shove into a drawer or closet and quickly forget.
