Chapter 5I sleep like crap that night and the rings underneath my eyes are back when I wake up. I shuffle around my apartment like a ghost of myself, but when it’s time to open my laptop and start the workday, I can’t stand to be alone. So for the first time in weeks, I leave the apartment unaccompanied. I stuff my laptop into my bag, get into my car, and drive to my sister’s place. She and Rosa are at work, but I have a key so I can let myself in. But after parking in their driveway, I don’t go inside.
