Quincy's POV
Together with Heather, we found the place called Imago, where we could find the witch.
Heather found me that night when Caleb rejected me. She said something was telling her to come to find her. But never imagine that she will witness a heartbreaking rejection.
We sought the help of a witch for my condition.
"Are you sure about this?" She asked me again.
I nodded my head to her. I need this so I can move on.
We entered an old shop that we'd been searching for days. Looking for a witch is not easy. That's why it took us days to finally find it.
"Hello?" I called after we shut the door behind us.
A woman emerged from the door on one side of the shop.
She smiled at us." Well, hello! What can I do to both of you?" She asked.
We walked towards her until only the wood cabinet that's leveled our chest separates us from her.
"We need the help of a witch," Heather whispered near her.
The woman eyed the both of us. "Wolves?" She asked.
We both nodded to her. And she motioned us to follow her inside. Nervously, we followed her. Inside there's a small square table. She sits on the other side while Heather and I sit in front of her.
"How do young wolves like yourself manage to find a witch like me? " she asked after we sat.
Heather looked at me, she motioned her head to me, like saying that I should explain it.
I sighed and looked at the witch in front of us. "It's really not easy looking for a witch, especially a good witch" I breathed. "But I really need your help," I said to her.
The witch intertwined both her hands on the table and placed her chin on it. "And what kind of help do you want from me?" She asked, raising an eyebrow at me.
"I need you..." I stop. I looked at my friend beside me, she smiled at me, urging me to continue. I breathed and looked at the witch again, "I need you to severe my bond with my mate."
The witch's eyes grew in surprise. "Severe your bond?" Confusedly. "Why would you want to severe your bond with your mate?"
Teary-eyed I said, "because he doesn't want me and he rejected me." I explained. I brushed the tears that flowed down my cheeks. "And I've been feeling this pain over and over." It's the pain a wolf would feel if their partner is betraying the others. "He doesn't want me and he's with some other girl doing god knows what," I looked at the witch's eyes, "and here I am feeling the impact of that betrayal." The tears flowed down my cheeks again.
Heather rubbed my back, giving me support. "We're wondering if you can break their bond so she can be free from this pain." She said to her.
The witch processes the situation in her head. "How old are you? Oh sorry, I haven't given you my name yet." A smile appeared on her mouth. "Call me Matilda." She offered her hands.
I took her handshake, "My name is Quincy and this is my friend Heather.." I introduced ourselves. "We're twelve."
"Twelve? You're very young. Your mate must have been older." I nodded in agreement with her. "Well, it's true I can severe your bond with him, but given that you're so young, I do not suggest it."
"Why?!" my voice sounded disappointed.
"My child, like werewolves, you should know that finding a mate can only happen to you once in your life" she explains. "You are lucky to have found your mate at an early age. Many of your kind took years to find them. Some end up not even finding them." She held my hand and enclosed it and held her hands, "I suggest you talk to him again. Reason it out to him. You are his other half." She smiled again.
I remove my hand from her clamps. "How can I do that?" I smiled at her, "he had already left." I breathe, filling my lungs with air because it feels like I'll be losing my breath any minute. "He leaves me behind." I brush the tears on my cheeks. "He said he wants to enjoy his freedom. The girls that he can have. That he was too young to be tied to me." I looked straight in her eyes. Pleading. I sat up straight, "please.." I asked her.
The witch sighed and stood up. She went to a dark room further back from the room where we're in.
Heather and I looked at each other. She rubbed my arms, comforting me. When suddenly, a burst of pain surged through my whole body.
"Ahhhh!!!" I screamed. I fell off the chair. I carved myself into a fatal position as the pains continue to invade my body. My stomach felt hot and painful. "Make it stop!" I screamed.
My friend panicked at my sudden situation. "Quincy!" She knelt beside me, not knowing what to do.
Tears continue to flow from my eyes. My vision becomes blurry because of the amount of liquid blocking my sight.
That was what Matilda saw. "What happened?" She quickly knelt beside me too.
"What do you think happened?" my friend said, "our stupid son of the alpha, her mate, is f*****g some girl out there. I even bet he's f*****g her in a public place". I grabbed her arms for support.
Matilda eyed both of us, "her mate is your alpha?"
"Soon to be Alpha of our pack" Heather corrected.
I leaned on her and looked at the witch. "Please," I said, as I held on to my friend, "make it stop", I begged her. "Make it go away". Tears continue to flow down my cheeks.
"Alright," she said. She took out a small sharp knife with a silver blade. A pure thick white thread. And a scissor.
"I'll help you break the bond." She looked at me. "But I must tell you, what I do will need sacrifice from you." She said in a very serious voice.
"I'm willing to sacrifice anything," I told her. I winked as another pain shot through my whole body. "Ahhhh!" I screamed again.
"Very well then," she took the thread, "I will begin the ritual to severe your bond to your mate"
