Charlotte came back casually holding her phone. She had received a call from her mom asking her what happened in the day. Charlotte was a bit embarrassed to say that she had gone shopping for Anaya so made up a lie.
Charlotte told her mother that Roman had taken her out for lunch and discussed some things about her stay over it. Ginny was happy with the progress and pushed her to do more.
This annoyed Charlotte to no end. She felt like for the first time she wasn't able to do something. Charlotte wanted to grab Roman's attention too but he was just so tough that it looked like an impossible task to soften his heart.
