Pony Day
Sooner or later, it was going to happen. Virtually every one of our guests, both casual and live-in, wanted us to run a pony day with appropriate races and demonstrations and I was not in a position to deny these pony freaks their desires. Planning for the event became an ongoing, daily distraction and the actual happening was suddenly brought to a head in the spring when, while clearing out one of the airplane hangars on the field, Tanya and Diane discovered an old coach in remarkably good condition. They ran back to the house with the news and I told them to see if it was actually usable or to at least figure out what repairs might be needed to render it as a working prop for our anxious ponies.
