Olvia, In The Land of Black Wolves “That is not what physical strength is, Ergon,” Adolfo was shouting at Ergon who can't even lift a one hundred pounds stone in front of him. “Why am I doing this in the first place? I am different from you, Adolfo. My body was not trained for this stupid lifting rock you are instructing at me,” Ergon yelled at him, looking at Adolfo's eyes angrily. The latter then smiled, making him furious even more. “I've had enough. Bring me back on the other side of the river.” Ergon began walking away from Adolfo, but the latter just run over him and followed. When he's in front of him, he showed him his biggest smile. Ergon was confused as to why he was suddenly making fun of himself in front of him. He was showing him the other side of his personality. Although, he knew already what he was deep inside, he just can't ignore his playful side. “What are you doing?” “I was trying to make you laugh.” “Huh?” Ergon ignored him at first. He gives him a cold face then walk pass him towards the river. “I'm sorry. I was only helping you out to become stronger,” he said. Ergon heard him and stops. He turned around and saw Adolfo lower down his head. “Really? Are you serious?” Ergon feel that he was fooling him. “I am not going to buy it, Adolfo. Send me back to the other side.” “I am serious. But, I have other way to strengthen your muscles, Ergon. Would you like to know?” Ergon give him a deathly glare then heave a sigh and closes his eyes. After a few minutes thinking what he said convincing him to do another set of strengthening his muscles, he opened his eyes and answered him. “If it's not about lifting rocks or stones, then I'll agree. If it is too hard to bear, I'd rather go back to Dravia.” Ergon as glaring at him, while Adolfo's eyes beamed upon hearing him agreed. “It's plain simple. That river will be your training ground.” “With? What?” Ergon yelled like a roaring wolf at Adolfo. He almost breaks his eardrums. Then, he saw Ergon's eyes changed into red and his body into that of brown red wolf, ready to eat him alive. “Relax, Ergon. I was talking about you swimming in the river. It will gain you some muscles by flexing your arms and should and entire body. Calm down, will you?” Ergon realizes that he totally shock and immature, he went towards the river and jump. Then, he showed up, returning himself into a human form. “I don't have spare clothes, Adolfo. I can't leave the water,” he said in a monotone voice, asking for understanding. “Leave that thing to me. Wait right here, Ergon.” In the blink of an eye, Adolfo disappeared from his sight. In a matter of seconds he left, he showed up, standing in front of him gasping his breath. He was giving him a set of clothes. “You can stand — now. No more shyness, remember?” “Whatever.” Ergon give him another cold treatment and stands up naked in front of him. Adolfo's eyes shine as he watches him walking towards him to get the clothes. He can't take his eyes off his body while giving him a cold look. He was slim. His bone almost showing up, but what caught his attention was the remains of the bruises, lashes, and even mark of a sharp claws on his back. Adolfo walks towards Ergon. He was about to wear the shirt on his upper body when he touches his back. He was touching and moving his hands towards his back. “You have a painful past, Ergon. I don't know what to say with these lashes and wounds you have.” Ergon immediately faces him and showed him the bigger wounds he has neared his chest. “I do. These wounds reminded me of how cruel my father was up until now,” Ergon started telling him. He doesn't know why he began sharing some insights of his wounds to Adolfo. The other wolf just listened as he watches, his hazel brown eyes showing sadness. “Whenever I disagree to my father's request, I always end up being beaten up. This?” He was pointing at the stitches of one near his chest. “It almost cost my life. My father wants to grab my heart out when I was seven years old. I was only saved by Hesa, my nanny, and tend to my wounds. The lashes and other wounds you saw at the back came from my father's whip and claws.” Adolfo lowered his head. He was watching his reaction, but he was the one he surprised. Adolfo instantly hugs him tight. For the first time, he heard him sobbing on his shoulders. Ergon suddenly wrap his arms on him and cried. Adolfo's hug was warm. Ergon felt the need to embrace and cry on his shoulder's, too. It was not the first he felt the power of embrace. Hesa has been hugging him several times, and he knew what that means. But, there was something in Adolfo's hug that connects his heart to him. “You are braver than me, Ergon. Do not be discouraged or feel that you are unworthy to be love. Hesa, your nanny, is one of that individual who loves you unconditionally. And if ever you needed another embrace, I would gladly give it to you voluntarily.” Adolfo's words encouraged and lifted the brown-red wolf's heart. He could not control his emotions that he even tightened his hug to the black wolf. It was a moment of silence. Tears of joy. A bond of friendship. A connection between two different clans of wolves. A feeling that slowly starting to uncover in each other's heart. “Hey, enough hugging, will you? I can't breathe?” Adolfo was joking Ergon and when Ergon realizes that it was to a bit too much, he let go of his hug and apologize. “I'm sorry, Adolfo,” he bends down his back and apologizes. “I was just joking. You can hug me all you want, Ergon.” Adolfo teases him and embraces him again. But at the back of his mind, he was glad. He was happy that he was able to help Ergon at least release the burden he was carrying eighteen years of his life from the hands of his cruel father. “One day, I'll get to punch your father, Ergon from belittling and hurting your childhood memories.” Adolfo whispered those words in his mind while Ergon was happily hugging him. “Thank you, Adolfo. I owe you big time.” “Don't bother. It was my way of helping you. Now, let's start throwing you up into the river and swim for you to gain muscular strengths.” “Hey, wait up. I haven't agreed yet. Put me down, Adolfo!” Adolfo carried him all the way to the river, throw him into the water, and started removing his clothes to swim towards Ergon. … UNKNOWN to Adolfo and Ergon, the King of Dravia ordered the brown-red wolves to infiltrate the nearest town to strengthen his kingdom in preparations of his plan to destroy Olvia, the land he hated the most. “I am ordering you to capture Aria, the nearest town in Dravia. Kill all women and children and capture all men. We will train them to become monsters and scared them to death. Brown-red wolves clan, go and start the rampage in Aria!” The howls of the brown-red wolves echoed the entire Dravia while King Drav evilly laughs watching his clan leaving in front of him to start ruining Aria. It was his very plan to start scaring and capturing the nearest town and cities from Dravia before he announced the war in the Land of Olvia, where Olv was the current king. “You will never succeed, Drav. You will pay for your crime.” Drav heard a strange voice mocking him. The sound seems familiar to his ears. “Oldravia will cease to exist. Olvia will become the land of black wolves, while Dravia will be the land of brown-red wolves. In the name of the king and queen Drav killed, I cursed his only child to be betrothed to your only child. Only then, the land of Olvia and Dravia will be reunited as one Oldravia.” He began hearing crazy things about the memories inside his head. Drav clearly remembered how he killed Oldra's parents on the once peaceful and united land of Oldravia. The voice of Oldra keeps on bugging inside his mind. It always reminded him of her curse that both his son and Olv's child were destined to become a couple who will reunite the land of two separate wolves. “I won't let that happen, Oldra. I will make sure that Ergon won't marry Olv's child. Whoever that child of his, I will kill him with my bare hands. The land of Olvia and Dravia will never become one again. I won't let the curse you made to us come true. I will kill Olv and his child!” … In The Land of Olvia, Olv was watching his kingdom from the tower. He can smell the freshness of air kissing his cheeks, and embracing his body. He closes his eyes and savor the moment of stillness. This is what he wanted. Peace and tranquility when he's inside his castle. “Oldravia will cease to exist. Olvia will become the land of black wolves, while Dravia will be the land of brown-red wolves. In the name of the king and queen Drav killed, I cursed his only child to be betrothed to your only child. Only then, the land of Olvia and Dravia will be reunited as one Oldravia.” A voice suddenly disturbs his stillness. And he knew who that voice was coming from.”Oldra.” It came from the woman he loved, the once princess of Oldravia. The land, that was once a peaceful and safe place for all wolves, was destroyed because of his best friend's craziness for unsolicited and one-sided love. “I miss you, Oldra,” Olv called her name in the air, in hopes of sending his message to her.
