[Roverie’s POV] Today’s weekend and I have to do my laundry, I have never done this in Philippines because we have helpers in our home but this is a good practice of independency and I have been learning a lot of things during my stay here. I only bring my clothes to a laundry shop whenever I don’t have the time to do it but since I am not up for something, I rather wash it my own. My parents always check me up even I knew that they’re very busy but they are trying their best to call me every day so they keep updated about my situation here. They badly want to visit me here but I insisted not to because I understand how demanding their work is that’s why I just told them to stay instead. They apologized and at the same time thank me for understanding, even if I also want to see and hug them but I have to widen my understanding and consider the situation. *sigh* It’s almost two months already and to assess my studies, it’s actually quite well. Subjects are still manageable and I kind of enjoy it because I have a good friend, Frankie, who stick my side and who’s always been with me. I’m just very blessed that I have her, I don’t know how’s my stay in this university if I didn’t meet her. After doing the laundry in the morning, I do the general cleaning in the afternoon because there’s a lot of dust around the house and ever since I got here, I just clean some parts of this house. I was just wearing sports b*a and pajamas it really feels comfortable whenever I am wearing this because this is how I really dress at our house due to unbearable temperature in the Philippines and because I don’t really like wearing bras, I choose to wear sports b*a rather than wearing just my shirts on, I find it disgusting. While cleaning the cabinet I saw our pictures with our family together with my grandparents when they’re still alive. We were so young back then, I can’t help myself from smiling and missing them at the same time. My grandparents really kept this polaroid pictures and I really want to thank them, these are all precious and I will be keeping this photograph as long as I live. I’ll send this later to my parents, they will surely love this.  I’m so drained, I felt very tired after doing a lot of chores, I grabbed some foods on the refrigerator and decided to take a sleep since I’m all done with cleaning and I want to regain some of my energy at least. I dropped my body on the bed and… zzZzz… *knock* *knock* *knock* *knock* *knock*  “Roverie” zzZzz… *knock* *knock* *knock*  zzZzz… “Roverie” Am I dreaming? Someone’s calling my name. *knock* *knock* *knock*  I slowly open my eyes and there’s actually no one here. “Hey Roverie are you there? it’s Frankie” Frankie? HOLY SHI*T I AM NOT DREAMING! IT’S FRANKIE KNOCKING ON MY DOOR! I immediately get off the bed and run towards the door to open her. “Hey I’m sorry, I was asle…” I told her while opening the door but to my surprise she’s not alone. They all looked at me with a shocked face and that’s when I realize when guys look away while Frankie looks at my body. “OH s**t!” I embraced my body and shuts the door. WHY AM I NOT THINKING BEFORE OPENING THE DOOR? This is so embarrassing! “WAIT FOR A SECOND” I shouted and run to grab a shirt. I took a deep sigh before opening the door. “I’m sorry about that, please come in” I told them while still feeling a little embarrassed. Frankie is with Tyler and Ken and I don’t know why they are together and why they’re here.  “you didn’t text me that you’re coming” I asked Frankie “I did! You didn’t even response” she said. I grabbed my phone to check it and yes, she did but I was actually sleeping that time. “I’m sorry I was asleep earlier, so, what’s with all of you?” I asked them “Tyler asked if we could go hang out and I thought it was a great idea so that you could also have a time to enjoy because I know that you’re not used of being alone and you missed your parents so I’m thinking that you can come” Frankie said. “I haven’t taken a shower yet” I told them. “you do it, we can actually wait here, right?” Frankie said and looked to the guys. “yeah sure” Tyler responded while Ken just smiled and nodded. “right, I will be quick” I said and immediately took a shower.  After taking the shower, I dressed up and blower my hair. I am wearing high waisted black pants with tattered on the knees and a fitted white top paired with a black coat and completing it with a white shoe to keep my comfort. We left the house and took a ride, I still don’t know where we are going I’ll just go with them wherever they go.  After eating dinner Tyler leads us everywhere, we entered into different stores doing a window shopping and the funniest part is, we’re doing the try on to different clothes but still end up now buying them. I can see how irritated the sales lady are but we’re too carefree about that. We proceeded to the arcade, we played all the games while Frankie and Tyler were acting like a child, they really are enjoying, sometimes I just can’t help myself from laughing when they started arguing because they looked like a seven-year-old kid fighting over a little matter but they looked really cute and child-like. “Hey Roverie, do you like rides?” Tyler asked me. “yeah sure!” I excitedly said. “let’s go” Tyler told us. We’ve walked a short distance on the street to reach our next stop, the rides. I really want to try different rides here because it looks more bigger compare to what I’ve tried before, it looks more challenging and exciting.  “hey guys come here” Tyler told us. We are in a photobooth and we will be trying it. “I, 2, 3 smile.”  “wacky everyone” “okay group hug”  And the last shot was a candid. “Since this is exactly four, we will be dividing this so that each one of us will have one as memorabilia” Frankie said. This is so cute I will really keep this one. “Frankie babe, let’s go to the Ferris wheel” Tyler told Frankie. “sure” Frankie replied Ken and I was left together. “let’s try the roller coaster” I told him. “w-what? You really want to ride that” he asked me. “yes of course” I answered. “o-okay” he said “wait, why are you stammering? Are you scared?” I mockingly asked him. “scared, of course not! Let’s go” he’s being defensive. “aaAAAAaaaAAaaaAAaHHHHHHHHH” he’s been shouting hard and I can’t stop myself from laughing at him, he is so scared.  “JUST ENJOY THE RIDE!” I shouted him while still laughing. “why are you so scared?” I asked him after the ride ended. “I don’t like rides because I really…” he was cut with his words when he suddenly vomits. I was rubbing his back trying to assist him while trying to hold my laughs. “are you okay?” I asked him even obviously he is not fine.  “you’re weak!” I told him and laughed. “yeah, this why I don’t like rides” he said. I badly want to try the other rides but I don’t want to do it alone since Ken can’t really survive taking on the rides and Tyler or Frankie’s not around either. We sat on the bleachers to help Ken recover from what happened earlier, he looks terrible, I felt bad for challenging him. I texted Frankie to meet us so that we can already go home. “Roverie, we’ll go ahead Tyler’s sending me home and I know you two are on the same street. Ken? can you send Roverie home?” Frankie said. “No! it’s okay I…” I was cut when Ken speaks. “yes, I will!” Ken said. I just looked at him and turned my attention back to Frankie. “you two take care, we’ll go ahead” Frankie said. I just nodded and wave at them.  “let’s go?” Ken asked. We took a ride and leaded home. I am about to go when I noticed that Ken’s at my back. “why are you here? You should stop at the next street, are you?” I asked him.  “I’m sending you home as I promised to Frankie” He said. “That’s my house, it’s just a step away from here” I told him. “I just want to. I want to make sure you’re home safe and sound” he answered. “as you say so…” we continue walking until we reached the door of our house.  “thank you for accompanying me” I said and give him a smile. “I hope you enjoyed this day” he told me. “I really did! I hope… we could hang out again” I said. “Sure! we could do that anytime...except for the rides” I just laugh at him.  “So… I’ll leave you here, guess you’re already safe here, see you at the University” he said while smiling widely and start walking home. I entered the house and changed clothes. I took my bag and get the pictures we have earlier, I have the candid shot and I really like how it was captured. We are laughing at the picture and we looked very happy, genuinely, like we’ve been together for a long time already. I feel very blessed that at some point I am not alone, that I have friends around me to help me easily cope up from adjusting with this new environment.
