While Patricia set out the big, massive bowls and trays of food, I worked on pitchers of drinks for the tables. There was a main dining room where typically the Connors family and ranked tribal members eat and then there’s an adjoining room with three or four huge, long tables to fit the rest of the tribe.
I was learning about the hierarchy of a tribe. Denny is the Chieftain, but nobody ever calls him that. All adult members of the tribe have a say who is called Chieftain. He got the title as a young dragon after saving the entire tribe almost single handedly against a rogue attack. Some say the reason he doesn’t talk much is because he burned his vocal cords from breathing so much fire.
