Everett    She squeezed my hand before turning to her food that was placed in front of her. We all dug in and I swear I died and went to heaven. It was some pasta dish I couldn’t pronounce for the life of me, but I couldn’t help but have four plates full. Elle had three. Elias and Ian had three. Ginny had four. I think my dad had at least five and kept sneaking some off mom’s plate while she chatted away with various members of the tribe or Elder Fran. Mom rarely ate her full meal when there was someone to entertain.   Elle rubbed her belly as she eyed the remaining noodles on her plate.  “I want to eat them; they deserve to be eaten. But I don’t know if I’d enjoy it which is a shame. Also, I feel if I put that in my stomach, I’m going to explode and that’s not good either.”
