Spencer drove, his mind elsewhere. He knew he was frightening Kinley by not divulging where they were going, but he couldn't get his mind off of the human male touching his mate and trying to hurt her. It was constantly going through his mind and in the end he stopped just outside of a motel as Kinley stared at him wide-eyed. He disappeared through the entrance and came back minutes later holding a keycard. "Let's go" he told her gruffly and ignored that she was close to tears, gripping her by the arm and marching her to their room, opening the door and almost flinging her inside.
