Chapter 01
"Ammi, you really want me to marry that guy? Who don't have any family background. Who couldn't even able to complete his B.A. degree? "
" Relax Sanam he is successful, rich, powerful and strong. For me your protection is my priority "
" But Ammi "
" Just accept the fact that you are my daughter and he is the most eligible bachelor for you in this mafia world "
Not knowing what to say Sanam agreed to marry with her mother's choice. But after her marriage she got divorced within two days. A very wrong choice made by Madina.
" You shouldn't have fixed the marriage without consulting me. " Shehriyar told Madina in disappointment who was Madina's husband's elder brother.
" That's ok. What is done is done. " Madina couldn't let anyone rub that on her face and make her feel guilty.
" Yes it's of no use now. But I hope you have learned your lesson that not to trust anyone for your daughter other than me. If you want I can talk to my son about the marriage - - - - "
" No, let him complete his study and also Sanam needs some time to cope up "
" Ok, as you say "
----------------
After four years
Madina Pasha was leaning across the wall admiring her daughter lovingly who was getting ready for her second marriage.
Her daughter was looking so adorable in that beautiful green wedding dress. She didn't want to let her daughter go so early so soon...
It was like her daughter was playing with her toys yesterday and suddenly in a leap of year she grew so old to get married.
And the trouble is that you always live in this illusion that you had time.
And her two most powerful warriors were patience and time.
She knew that her daughter needed to get married before she caught the evil eye of the dangerous mafia world. Marriage was for her daughter's security who needed to be nourished and cherished with love and care.
" Sanam, you look so beautiful my child, I can't take my eyes off from you! " Madina appreciated her.
From the day of her wedding announced Sanam was very anxious. Giving a second chance to her fate she kept her heart on sleaves and wore the high heels. Keeping the bad memories aside she felt nervous thinking about that from today onwards she had to live with some other family and especially with her younger husband.
She was 28 years old and Hamza was only 24 years.
Sanam met Hamza twice in her mother's office and found him very sweet to talk. She liked him personally but never thought about marrying him. One day Madina called her and asked if she liked Hamza and not knowing the reason to dislike him she said yes casually.
On the very next day Madina told her that Hamza said yes for the marriage proposal. Sanam was speechless but having full faith in her mother's decision she agreed for the marriage. And also Hamza's personality was attractive enough to consider him.
" This is not good Madina, you told me that you will wait for my son because he was studying " Shehriyar complained when Madina informed him about fixing Sanam's marriage.
" I never said that I will wait but yes I always wanted him to complete his study first "
" Whatever, " Feeling ditched by her he made faces then shaking his head, he went to congratulate Sanam.
-----------
Four years ago after completing his studies from Abroad Hamza thought to establish his own business rather than investing his knowledge in his father's small business. But establishing your own business was not easy as he thought. Many fraud people contacted him and he lost a huge sum of money. Then someone suggested him to approach Madina Pasha who could settle these types of fraud matters in a better way. That's how he came in contact with her.
Getting impressed with her powers in the corporate world he thought to remain working with her. He learned a lot about the business from her. In very less time he sharpened his skills and Madina also got impressed. So after developing trust and her beliefs in Hamza's potential she started investing in most of his projects.
After working for years with Hamza, Madina saw him as suitable candidate for her daughter so she asked him directly about marriage proposal.
And she was astonished with Hamza's response when he said yes without any hesitation and not even bothered to ask even a single question about her daughter's first marriage and also not minding the age difference between them but then she realised that it was her position in the mafia that matters more.
Madina always felt insecure for her daughter because she was an easy target in the mafia world who wanted to take Madina down from her position. She thought Hamza could be the right one to pass on the business but keeping the mafia empire to herself.
Afraid of her past Sanam hoped that Hamza would be her prince charming who would love her with all his heart and soul not like her first marriage which was full of conspiracy against her mother.
Sanam looked at her reflection in the mirror. Her hair was styled in a loose bun. Her green dress was so beautiful full of embroidery with matching jewelry complementing it. She twirled around in excitement feeling like a princess and a layer of her flowy dress stuck under her stilettos.
Her friend Rumaisa came from the door and crouched down to help her.
" Offo Sanam, easy you girl." She straightened up her dress and then stood up at the level of her.
"Finally you came Rumaisa, I was eagerly waiting for you!" Sanam took a relaxed breath upon seeing her best friend.
" No probs. Have you packed all of your stuff or need my help if something is left? "
" No, everything is done "
They reached the wedding hall with her mother and some relatives.
The hall was nicely decorated and crowded by mostly mafia guests and from her side there were very few people and not that she was complaining. Madina and her were always the besties of each other.
First, Sanam walked towards the stage accompanied by her uncle Shehriyar and Rumaisa. That Red carpet spread in her way which felt like heaven was taking her to her destiny, to her love, to her soulmate. yes, she lives in her fairy tale stories where there was always a prince to take care of a princess and no doubt she was her mother's princess. Then she waited for Hamza with her heart throbbing nerves.
'Why is he late for the wedding?' Everybody was asking about him and Madina was busy making phone calls.
''Hey the groom has arrived! ''
She heard somebody announced.
Ah finally! She sighed.
She was looking down when Hamza reached in front of her. She curled her fingers inside the palm to control her shivering hands. His shining boots were all she could see and her mind started picturing him. How does he look like in his wedding dress? Did their colour of wedding dress match? Did he like her? She hoped her makeup made her look beautiful. How he was going to react after such a long time?
She met him five months ago after that what she knew that Hamza was super busy. Had no time to meet her at least for once.
The wedding ceremony was officiated by Maulvi. And in the place of her father her uncle Shehriyar was appointed as her guardian to look after the bride’s interest in the Nikah.
In the silence she heard Maulvi telling them their marriage related duties and asking their consent for the marriage.
Both of them said Qubool hai and signed the marriage papers in front of everyone and the wedding ceremony ended.
" Throughout the wedding you kept your head down Sanam, take a look of your handsome groom also "
Sanam was feeling very shy to look at him on her own. Watching her behaving shy Rumaisa lifted her veil up, but Sanam was still looking down. She felt Rumaisa's hand under her chin lifting her face up and then she looked at Hamza.
He was looking so dashing and handsome, oh my! is it for real or I am in my dreams...........
His light brown hair was resting on his left side of forehead and his right ear was pierced with a black bud in it.
She blushed a little and felt shy. She looked down, controlling her big goofy smile forming again and again. She took a deep breath and looked up again and then their eyes locked with each other. His blue eyes were so mesmerizing and captivating.....
Wait maybe it is blue green?
Hamza knew it that she was very impressed with him as an appreciative smile formed on her face and he was welcoming it with a smile.
Finding it difficult to hide her expressions, her breath hitched in her throat and she hitched aloud.
No! No! Bad timing Sanam, this is not the time for hiccups. The girls around her started laughing on her reaction.
Feeling embarrassed Sanam covered her mouth with both of her hands to muffle her hiccups. Hamza chuckled at her.
He knew it that he had an effect on the girls but that was too much.
" Hamza janaab humari dost toh gai kaam se ab aap he thik Karein isse " Rumaisa joked showing the glass of water to Hamza.
Taking her by surprise Hamza kept his one hand on her and passed her a glass of water and her hiccups stopped.
----------------------
After the rituals, the time came to go with her new in-laws. Like a picture the beautiful moments which she spends with her mother played in her mind and she started crying.
She didn't know how she was going to live away from her "Mom, please take care of yourself ''
"Sure and you promise me to be brave without me. "
She was going to reply when Hamza came near to them "It's time to go"
Sanam nodded.
Madina moved near to Hamza and took his one hand in hers "please take care of Sanam, she is my life ......."
Getting pissed by her emotional act Hamza rudely jerked her hand away.
" I know, you just relax ok "
Sanam figured out the strangeness in his behaviour but at the same time Hamza's dad Shabbir came to interfere between them "you wait outside Hamza, let them talk alone for sometimes "
Hamza left them immediately. His dad then talked to Madina "don't worry, he's a bit tired because of office work, nothing else. "
Madina nodded in an understanding way, then Shabbir also walked away.
--------
" What was that Hamza? If she finds you suspicious then? "
" Ah it's ok. I am sure she don't mind "
" But Hamza do you really think that this is the right thing to do? I don't want to lose you son. "
" Believe me dad this is the right thing to do."
----------
After listening and embracing her Mother for sometime Sanam couldn't control herself and tried to share everything about what she felt for Hamza's behavior.
"Mom, don't you think he behaved very ........." But Madina shushed her in between.
"No need to feel weak in front of Hamza ok. Always remember that you are my daughter. I am there for you no matter what. He can't even touch you without your permission alright? "
Sanam nodded at her, then Madina led Sanam towards Hamza and then they walked out toward his car.
