Teuns is so mystified at that stage that he cannot move, let alone speak. Then, with the help of a loyal Arab, he had taken it to Dini Salam. With that action, the hostility of the Dulacs, who had caused so much bloodshed already, was nearing its end because the Sabre of Dutra had always been a symbol of their greatness. It was the one symbol they could not afford to lose and the sign that they would be the victors in any holy war. Not only the Dulacs but most of the tribes in the south of the Sahara, except for one or two, had always considered this to be the symbol of their power.
