CHAPTER 17 Kennedy forced a deep breath into her lungs even though her diaphragm threatened to spasm. Her head felt light. Whatever energy she still had left seeped out of her body and dissipated into the air. Ignoring the spinning in the center of her brain, Kennedy balled her hands into fists and glowered at Vinny. “What did you do?” She recognized a hint of hysteria sneaking into her tone but couldn’t control it.
