Alpha Kai

The first days of school are always hectic and nerve-wracking. I fiddled with my fingers and laid on my side, overthinking about how the schools gonna go before my alarm rang at 6:00 am. I had woken up about half an hour earlier thanks to my anxious mind who would not let me get enough sleep if something bothered me. "Ah great" I muttered to myself, as I picked myself up to get up and take a long shower. The warm water felt good when it hit my skin and I felt my shoulders ease up from the warmth of it. I sat there for an hour, did my business, and got out. I let out another breath and looked out from my bathroom windows. The woods in the morning always seems very fresh. I opened the windows, took a whiff of the morning forest air, and reminisced how I was only running through in my wolf form yesterday. Ugh, the thought of going to school irked me. Why did I have to go to school when I could just look cute, running in the forest in my golden wolf form. I put my hair in loose beach waves, took a few strands out, and tied the rest in a low ponytail. I then went to my wardrobe, picked out a white tennis skirt, and paired it up with a loose black sweater. I texted the group chat with my best friends Finn and Am, short for Amalia. 'Good morninggg bestiesss I texted. 'Good morning Rae. Should I come to pick you up?' Finn texted me back. Am was probably sleeping but we knew she would come through in 5 minutes looking like a Versace model. 'Yes omg please I love you Fifi. Be here asap and get breakfast with mi familia' I texted and put the phone in my bag not bothering to check his reply as he lives 3 doors away from me and will be running here any minute now. I went down, saw my big brother Rain, my mother, and father sitting at a table waiting for me. I wished my parents a good morning, smacked Rain's head just for the culture, and sat beside my dad. The bell rang and my mother already knew who it was. She smiled and said that she'll get it and told me to get some food. Finn walked in said hello to everyone, hugged me, and sat beside me. Rain gave him a little stare and he shifted away from me. Typical brothers. "So Julia, I heard you have to go to a seminar in London this week?" Finn asked my dear mother who is a writer. "Yes! and I am going with my beautiful mate to support her" my dad pitched in for my mother. I looked at her and smiled. She was blushing and was looking at him with so much admiration. They make me believe in love and I honestly can not wait to turn 18 to experience something like that. Thinking about who I will be fated with for the rest of my life just flutters my heart. I hope he is as patient and as nice as my dad. After breakfast, we bid goodbyes to my parents and drove to the school.  We reached the school and the environment there was a little weird and tense. I squinted my eyes a little to see Am with a bunch of people. Finn and I gave each other the same weird 'what is she doing here this early' look. She saw us and excitedly penguin -walked to where we were. "OMG GUYS GUESS WHATTT" she blamed with excitement in her eyes.  "What?!" Finn and I both asked together. We looked at each other and smiled at that. "The Alpha from the Night pack is coming here to study with us!" she smiled wide. "Isn't he scary and... old?" I asked. "Also hot and nope. Only a year older than us. He should have graduated last year but he had to spend a year training which is why he is here." she explained. Well, it became clear because our Alpha and Luna bore no kids of their own, so from the past alliance, our pack had decided to be a part of the Night pack. It was not easy but we trust our Alpha therefore no one had anything to say about it. We were just talking and matching our schedules when we heard the bell ring. "Ugh I can't believe I don't get to be with you two on the first class" I pouted.  "Aw come here we'll miss you", Am spoke and pulled me in a hug which had me giggle. "Okay let me breathe, I gotta go get some books" I pulled away and walked away smiling. Then it happened. I crashed with somebody. Hard.  The entire hallway was silent.  I looked at Am and Finn who had their mouth wide open.  'Not on the first day.' I spoke quietly as I rolled my effing eyes. Literally not be embarrassing myself obviously thanks to somebody else's mistake. "What is your problem?", I screamed as I crashed into a running body which made me fall on my ass. "What is your name?" A pair of deep black eyes stared at mine. "There you are, Kai, hurry up" I heard somebody say from behind as I tried to collect myself and get up. Instead of hurrying and going, the black eyes came closer, held my hands, and helped me stand back up. "I'm Alpha Kai for you, buttercup", he winked at me and flashed a smile, and rushed alongside two other gorgeous-looking men. I took a deep breath, Alpha Kai, who I had only heard about, winked at me? He is known to be really cold and heartless, and yet all I did was feel the warmth. Why did he act nice to me? ... Kai's POV "Mate" My mate, Aztec screamed giddily. "There you are, Kai, hurry up" My beta Asher called out to me with our friend Cayden. I saw my little mate on the ground, helped her up, winked and smiled at her, and ran. I finally found her. My mate.
