Chapter 7Jules put his baked potato in the microwave in the library cafeteria. “Did you have a good weekend, Jules?” Jenny, his friend, and the only other colleague who was about his age, smiled at him before reaching for her lunch box in the refrigerator. “I did.” He nodded and drummed his fingers against the counter, urging the microwave oven to work faster. He reminded himself it was polite to ask something in return. “You?” She hummed and nodded. “It was all right. Hey, did you see the construction workers?” Jules frowned. “No, where?” “For the children’s section.
