What did he mean when he said they should run away together? Was he serious or was he playing her a second time? She didn’t know but she didn’t have the time to think about it.
When Julie arrived to the building she worked at, she didn’t find Mark, namely her boss and boyfriend, in his office. Therefore, she just started work like usual, despite not having him and his cheerful presence around.
Mark was such a gentleman. She knew that. Hell, everyone knew that.
What had taken her so long to notice him? Had she known he was interested in her, she would have made him hers much, much earlier. Maybe she would have moved on already by this time.
