Vatican City, laterThe room was located in the wonderful attic of the building of the famous Vatican Gendarmerie, from the top of which you could admire half of Rome and St. Peter's Basilica. The historic building was located behind the Basilica, just outside the Vatican walls, but within the territory of the state. Lavishly furnished, the room was normally used as a gym for the training of higher-level gendarmes. For the occasion, it had been adapted to the needs of the SCS. The Vatican workers had finished preparing a space used as accommodation for the seven elements of the Council, who could use the bathrooms and showers while the remaining space was used as an operational base. Everyone was busy finishing placing screens, desks, computers, and any equipment needed for their purpose.
