On Saturday morning, I went to visit Dimitry at his home of many years. He had his own apartment, and a helper when he needed to do complicated things like paying his bills or figuring out a bus schedule to get around town. Otherwise, he took care of his basic needs just fine. Dimitry always had a smile for me. It was as if he knew I needed one every time I came to see him. He met me in the lobby area and hugged me tightly. “Hi, Dion!
