Amara pov
I have two elder sisters, Lisa and Alice. They are fraternal twins; while Lisa is blonde and petite, Alice is a brunette and much taller, but they are both pretty. The two hit me even for the most minor mistakes, and I can't do s**t about it since they are vital as they are five years older than me... My father is a drunkard who brings different w****s into the room. He stayed with Mom and tried to touch me a few times in his drunk state, but I hit his ball sac and escaped.
" Where is that f*****g b***h?!" Lisa grumbles, descending the stairs hurrying to the foyer where I am. Her glare makes me take a step back in fear.
" Why isn't my blouse the first thing you ironed when you woke?" She asks slowly, just as Alice runs from the east wing with a pout and a glare.
" I'm sorry, Lisa. I had so many things to do since the maids didn’t come, but I'll iron it in a few minutes. I'm just packing Lulu’s lunch," before I can finish explaining, I touch my stinging cheek as blood spits out of my mouth. The f*****g b***h hit me. Tears dance into my eyes, but I refuse to cry. My wolf is growling, wanting to hit her back. But I tame her. If I attack her, I'll be thrown out of the house. They've been looking for a reason to, and I can't leave my baby sister in their care.
" I told you I was going for a breakfast date with Arad, didn't I?!" She seethes, growls escaping her chest. I almost snarl at the mention of Arad. Her man doesn't miss a chance to flirt or touch my boobs when she is not looking. Unlike me, they have no hips or butts. Only pretty faces, and it infuriates them.
Alice stands next to her sister with her arms against her chest and a sneer on her face.
" You rearranged all the things in my closet, and now I can't see my teardrop pearl necklace Daddy got me for my birthday," she whines like a child. I shake my head. Now I can't even clean their room? Just yesterday, I was scolded by the headmaid for not cleaning the room thoroughly.
" It is in the left drawer by the mirror," my voice croaks. She squints her eyes and pouts.
" Which one?"
Before leaving, they push me to the floor, and I quickly get up.
" Stupid, ungrateful brat," I hear one of them say before walking out. I go upstairs to my room and clean my face. I clean my cut-up lip with some alcohol; it will take about half an hour to heal since I haven't shifted into my wolf yet. I'm a late bloomer, but I can communicate with her.
I'm already late for class. I sigh; school is no better either; most of my classmates hate me since Debra told me, everyone, that I killed my mother. I'm dreading. My wolf always tries to strengthen me, but she even suffers silently as I draw so much energy from her.
Ahyan Pov
I am in the woods, f*****g Debra Yang, or as she likes to claim, my girlfriend. Debra is the most annoying wolf alive, yet pretty with red hair and big amber eyes. She is everything a man desires if they like bought body parts, and she comes from money and power; she can make anyone fall for her charm, anyone but me.
" Ahyan, Ah-" I have her bent against a tree branch while I take her from behind.
The girl moans loudly, I groan in annoyance at her high-pitched voice. This is all for me to get a release. I turned eighteen, and my dragon was getting on edge. He hates that we haven't found a mate yet. I don't want a mate, I want to have fun, but once we find her, all this will be over.
' If we get a mate, we are not accepting her,' I groan in a bored tone.
' No, I swear I'll leave you,' he snarls threateningly. I inwardly roll my eyes; this is getting old.
' You can't, you and I are one!' I retort boldly. He is silent, now I wish he wasn't, as the only sound that I can hear is Debra's voice.
" Shut the f**k up!" I growl at her.
Debra growls back lowly, and I grab her hair just a bit to make her cry.
Getting my release, I push her away from me.
" I wasn't done, Prince Ahyan!" She complains. She has already, but wanted more.
" Let's go,"
" Prince Ahyan, are you alright?" asks Debra, a concerned expression on her face. I nod, and we resume walking. I feel her eyes on me, and I glance at her. She smiles.
I release her hand, I didn't even realize I was holding it. " What is it?"
She takes back my hand, and we walk out of the woods. I like spending most of my time here, hearing the birds chirp or scaring them when I shift into my dragon, but lately, I love it. It smells intoxicatingly good. I try to search for the smell that my dragon loves so much, but I'm unable to put a finger on it or pinpoint exactly what it is.
My name is Ahyan Altamonte. I'm the first son, well, adopted son of Rayan Altamonte and Lucille Lavigne, the king and queen of wolves.
When I was an infant, demons were after me because I am Dragon Royalty. My high status in the supernatural world is undeniable. I'm the strongest dragon alive, and I'm a golden one. Only members of a royal family have golden Dragons. They are more powerful and fierce than the others. We are known as fire proteges. Golden dragons are agile, more vigorous, and can move at lightning speed; they are ten times more potent than high-ranking dragons, which are silver, followed by black, red, and grey.
Queen Lucille found me at the Royal City border and took me in. At first, the Royal Council was wary of having me in the city and wanted to send me away to a supernatural boarding school on an island because they didn't know what I was. Still, because of how drawn she was to me, Queen Lucy protected and fought for my stay in the city and even went as far as to adopt me; the Royal family welcomed me with open arms and treated me like one of their own. They love me and give me all I want. I have great adoration and respect for the entire family.
Soon, I hear chattering. A long sigh escapes my lips as our school comes into view. I'm in my last year, with only three months until graduation. I was supposed to graduate last year, but I went away to another continent with my grandmother, Miranda Lavigne. We were helping dragons that were still having trouble with other species.
A few people came to us, greeting and making conversation when the scent from the woods hit me again. Drakon growled in excitement as we began to follow it, ignoring all those calling me and talking to me.
