Prachi completes 18 for this December . It is an raining night of August.The cantonment is leaking . Floor is filled with the water. Prachi sitting with her young sister neha. Who is 8 years old. They both are waiting for mother to come home from field. Prachi is simple and beautiful girl with kindness, soft hearted. she always wish for the betterment of others. She believes in the elders and their culture. It was a village in the lowland region. This lowland is with tall grasslands, scrubs, clay, forest filled with greenary. which comes in northern India and southern Nepal that lies south of the outer foothills of the Himalayas. where Paddy cultivated in excess. Maize, millet and potato are the basically hill crops. The village comes in Terai region of Nepal.The People of terai believe in traditional customs, rituals and social organization. They consider themselves as a people of the forest. In the village it is believed to follow the olden traditions and God. None of the village people have came out of the village till now and seen the neighbor village or city . But Prachi's father ran out of the village and settled in city with a rich women . And this rich women have came to village on a trip . The People of village don't know about the truth. They still thinks that he was drown in the river water. Only Prachi's mother sunandha knows about this. Her father left her mother with a baby and 12 year old Prachi . They were facing poverty. In the beginning Prachi's mother sunandha working hard to take care of her children. But the society made her to step in wrong way . She was having an affair with her owner. She was employed in his paddy field. No one in the village was knowing about her affair .As there is no school in the village Prachi was not educated. She started working as slave in others house from the age of sixteen. Prachi and her sister sitting on a wooden coat. It is raining everywhere. As the Hut was old and broken. Floor was filled with water everywhere. sunandha returned home she was a thin tall lady good looking too. Sunandha asked prachi to bring her sister and have supper. Sunanda have cook and surved the fish. which was brought on the way. Fish is the main food for Tharu people. Three of them ate food and slept. Now it's early morning. Neha is so hungry but her mother have not cooked anything as it was the day of jitiya. sunandha was doing jitiya vrath festival. jitiya is a tribals festival celebrated in accounting of praying for welfare of their children. The brothers visit their sisters' home to invite them and take their sisters to their maternal home. sunandha was waiting for her brother to visit and take her and childrens to his house. waiting is over and brother came to take them all together to his home. three of them packed their bags and together went with him . sunandhas brother love cares about his sister and her daughters. but his wife shkama hate them. Sunandha's brothers home was in a near by village it was already night by the time they reach. shkama was knowing that sunandha is coming home even though she did not cook anything for them. Three of them are tired and they slept with empty stomach. shkama din't even welcomed them in morning. Sunandha went to her brother and said him dear brother as it is time and have to return to her home. Her brother pleased her to stay for some more days and covenced her to leave prachi and her younger sister atleast, for the upcoming festival in the village and said sunandha tht he will get them back after the festival ends. sunandha accepted his words and left her daughters there with him and returned to her village.Prachi's uncle have two daugters.Who are of prachis age, shkama wanted her daughters marriage to be made before prachi. she was treating prachi as servent. prachi was quite inteligent. Prachi's uncle work is to guide as a guidor for visitors, as the village itself was a historical forest area. people from different countries will visit the village. Some days passed, The festival was near to come. The village people are busy in arranging things, A group of boys have visited the village and prachi's uncle is busy in creating some craft works.togther with this shkama's health was upset so her husband asked one of his daughters to go with visitors for guiding the way. shkama always hates prachi. because, prachi was good looking, pretty and intelligent than her daughters. shkama don't want anyone to phrase prachi.it was agroup of boys, shkama thought that it is not safe to send her daughter with them. And for the sake of money she asked prachi to guide them.
