I almost couldn't believe it when Valerie trailed her fingers across my shoulders and seductively murmured, "Hey baby. I'm glad you made it home safe. I'm surprised you didn't come to find me last night."
Instantly, I felt my mate's anger rush through our mate bond, before she angrily asked, "Why the f**k would my mate want to go and find a pack slut like you, when he has me to share his bed with?"
I was curious to see how my mate was going to handle the situation, so I kept my mouth shut and tried to focus on the food I was cooking. Suddenly, I heard Valerie arrogantly reply, "Oh, I didn't know he found his mate. We will see how long things last between the two of you."
