Marie's POV
As I'm washing dishes looking over the yard, I see a black SUV with tinted windows pull up.
"Tom! Get in here now!"
My husband comes running from the living room hearing the urgency in my voice. We've known this day was coming and we've always been, well, kind of prepared for it. I watch as Mark gets out of the car, a small gasp escaping my lips, and I reach for Tom's hand. I never thought it would be Mark that would turn on Scarlet or his own kids though! We watch as Mark and two other men walk up to the door, Tom pulls me to the door, and we wait for the knock.
Tom breathes out. "We said we'd protect her with our life." Tom says while squeezing my hand. We hear the knock and open the door.
"Mark" I spit. "Who are your.... friends?"
