I close the front door and press my back to it. Everyone lets out the breath they didn't even know they were holding and suddenly Julie breaks out into sobs. My mom walks over to comfort her.
"Hey. Hey. It's okay. Oh, Julie, I know this is so hard. We're all feeling it. None of us have ever even heard of something like this happening."
"Oh," She pauses and lets out a sound that is almost a hiccup, "I'm so sorry, Alpha, please forgive me. I don't mean to be so weak; I know this is hard for you too. My wolf is so mad at me for not claiming Mark, but even she feels the space since he's... he's...."
