As I opened my eyes, I realized I was lying on a hospital bed. The room was as cold as an iceberg.
So, I called out to the nurse and instructed her to shut the windows. As I turned my head, I saw the senior housemaid, Rakul sleeping while sitting on the chair placed beside me.
She must have accompanied me through the night. That's why she seemed harshly squeamish.
I tried to move my legs and things to stand up but ended up whimpering due to the pain. The elder lady's eyes opened up and she enquired, "Is there something wrong, dear? Do you want me to call the doctor?"
